No hot water? No communication? No problem!
I checked in for a 4-night stay. All was well. I went to shower in the morning to find no hot water working in the bath/shower. It worked in the sinks. There was no water coming from the hot faucet at all. I sent a message, and went to work to shower there. By the time I got back, a person had been in to look at the bath/shower (clear from movement of things) but not communication. Issue not fixed. Sent a follow up message, was told they'd come back to fix it, and was left with no washing facilities again. Was out the next day when I was told it now was fixed. Went back, tried it, and the hot tap now did have running water, but it was cold. Not 'not hot', actually cold. I sent a message, and went to bed. No meaningful response. I sent another. No meaningful response. I began running a bath with cold water from the cold tap, and ferrying pitchers of hot water from the sink. At this point, it became clear the 'plumber' who had fixed the bath taps had plumbed them backwards. The hot tap was now cold, the cold tap was now hot. And it worked. This discovery came on the 4th evening of my stay, having been 'fixed' several hours earlier. Originally, the cold tap had been cold and the hot tap not working. The company have offered no proper refund. After offering a token amount and me saying it was insufficient, they have refused to communicate further. It's a shame, because the flat itself is fine (except for the window in the bedroom with no blind, so the sun gets .
