In a very quiet and safe area, 10 minutes walk from Locarno, in the Cà di Nani, a renovated "women friendly" family house with 6 flats, we rent a tastefully furnished attic flat, ideal for 2 people with a fully equipped kitchen (crockery + fridge) open to the living room with table and 4 chairs, Rolf Benz sofa, flat screen JVC TV, free WiFi and a balcony. Bathroom with bath and shower, towels, soap and shampoo available. Bedroom with double bed, two new Bico mattresses, quality linen, two bedside tables with abat-jour and a large built-in wardrobe. Laundry paid for in the house. 5 minutes' walk from Coop and Migros, bar, pizzeria, bank and bus to Locarno, Ascona or ValleMaggia. Footpath to Monte Bré 1 min. Paid parking with daily/weekly permit or free parking in the blue zone on the street. Final cleaning fr. 60.- once. Visitor's tax 2 fr. per person per night. Possibility to rent for one or more weeks. Animals are welcome. Bicycle parking. From Locarno station, bus 7 direction Losone stops at Solduno Stazione. A 5-minute walk northwards takes you to Cà di Nani. By car A13 motorway exit Locarno.

Other sports and leisure facilities: The Lido di Locarno offers swimming pools, diving and of course swimming in the lake in front of a breathtaking panorama. The spa is perfect for relaxing, as is the restaurant terrace. A dip in the rocks, in the cold water of the Vallemaggia or Val Verzasca rivers is also unforgettable (with caution). Many possibilities for cycling or mountain biking.

Excursion destinations: Ticino offers beautiful hikes in its mountains and valleys. In summer you can swim in the various rivers that flow through all the valleys. In the Hike Ticino App all hikes are indicated, with length and difficulty. To go to the Maggia Valley or the Onsernone Valley, the bus leaves from Solduno. To reach the Centovallina, a 5-minute walk takes you to the Centovallina station

Other kitchen equipment (Kitchen1): The kitchen is super-equipped. In addition to the glass-ceramic hob, the oven, the large fridge with its freezer compartment also offer a microwave. Plates, cutlery, cups are at your disposal as well as the Britta for filtering water rather than the water kettle, the toaster, the mocha for coffee or the teapot, the mixer and even the basic essentials such as salt, pepper, rosemary, flour etc.

Area description: The old part of Solduno is very quiet and is surrounded by cobbled streets. The location is strategic as it is a 10 min walk to Locarno and a 15 min walk to Ascona from where you can reach the Brissago Islands. Public transport is a 2 min walk from the house, as are the Raiffeisen, the Post Office, the Migros, Coop, the pharmacy and the bakery. There is no shortage of bars and restaurants. There is also an Indian takeaway and a Pizzeria. Solduno is located at the entrance to the Vallemaggia and Centovallina Valleys, which then lead to the Onsernone Valley. The area offers many activities ranging from the Locarno Film Festival to the Jazz Festival in Ascona, museums and exhibitions. Every Thursday there is a market in Piazza Locarno from where the funicular railway to Orselina and the chairlift to Cardada/Cimetta departs.
