It is in a quiet residential neighbourhood, but only a minute's walk from the centre of Ballater.Communication with Mark the host was easy and he was very responsive. Ballater is a beautiful little town with loads of amenities and nearby places to visit. Thoroughly recommend! :-)"

"We had the loveliest stay in this cottage. It was a perfect location to walk into town and enjoy the fishing village and history of the area. I was able to take a short drive up the road to take a solo hike where I felt safe and saw the most incredible views. The best part of this cottage was enjoying coffee and wine while watching the ocean. Quiet, peaceful and a perfect place to stay on our adventure. My only caution is that elderly people may have an issue with the steps up to the second...

"Receptionisten var venlig og imødekommende. Check ind gik hurtigt, da vi kun skulle sige vores navn, legitimation var ikke nødvendigt. Alt på hotellet var gammelt, slidt og meget beskidt, og det lugtet dårlig.. Intet wc papir eller sæbe på badeværelset. Ingen skraldespand på værelset. Meget lydt og meget larm både fra andre hotelgæster og udenfor. Nødudgange var aflåst. Receptionisten ville låse disse op hvis der skulle blive brand. Der benyttes gammeldagse nøgler overalt. Det føltes ikke sikkert at være der."

"Dejligt hotel centralt til at gå rundt i byen. Morgenmad var super med et stort og flot udvalg. Gode senge omend værelser ikke var så stort. Men rigtig dejligt og vil heler sikker bruge det igen hvis jeg skal til Aberdeen. "
