This was a bittersweet experience. Upon check-in, the property wasn’t prepared for our arrival. The AC units in the house weren’t on so it was sweltering when we got in there. We had to immediately start to cool down the property. It was a hard time trying to find the keys to the second Casita. Late that evening the property owner reached out and let us know where the second keys were located. That helped to get everyone into their rightful spots and first thing the next morning she sent maintenance out to help with the AC issues as well as to clean any linens that were dirty. So there was a breach in communication with whoever does the maintenance for the home. In real time, the property manager sent maintenance and cleaners to get everything rectified. She even worked with us on pushing our checkout date back with no extra pay to help make up for the inconvenience of the maintenance and cleaning issues that we encounter. So this is why I say bittersweet the property has lots of promise we had an amazing time because we’re resilient bunch of people, but some would’ve been thrown off by the initial fact that the house wasn’t in the state that it showed on the site. I was grateful for the host making time to make sure that she fixed it.
