"There is a significant difference between Taj Tower and Taj Palace. The Tower is a bit run-down and rooms without any thrills. The Taj Palace is old too, but at least there is an atmosphere of peace and style unlike the Tower where it felt like a busy and loud tourist hotel and with a breakfast buffet that was quite disappointing. "Nice hotel with friendly service. The Thai restaurant is great! Location is ok as the view is great, but you will need a car to get around. One reason we booked this hotel was the possibility of using the outdoor bar - Dome. Unfortunately this is often booked for private parties. Value for money could be better.
