Ladybower Reservoir

Taken from Ashopton Viaduct on the A57 Snake Pass Road, nice views back towards Fairholmes Visitor Centre from which we set off on a circular 5.5 mile walk.
This is just about halfway now and still a nice day, with views in all directions. Nice!

Perhaps not so much a "Travel Photo", but before checking out these plugholes at the Ladybower Reservoir in England's Peak District, I could only find images of the wider scene.

I've recently become far more interested in intimate scenes, picking out unique parts of an image to throw a whole new perspective. I'd gone prepared with my wide-angle lens, but ended up taking this at 50mm (75mm on my crop sensor!), using the Firecrest 6 Stop ND and circular polariser to cut through the harsh glare and really saturate the blue tones.

There's no editing in this photo! Something I really strive for in my images :)
