Quiet & Relaxing Top Floor Condo with A/C at Kiahuna Plantation Resort.
Inside the condo is newly renovated with island modern furniture, decor and photography by local artist, Steve Munich so you can enjoy the sights of Kauai indoors. There is a private, one bedroom and bathroom with full kitchen, living room (Queen sofa sleeper), dining room and spacious lanai. Step outside and enjoy 35 lush acres with BBQ grills, Koi ponds, Orchid and Moir Gardens and expansive lawns leading to the beach where you can swim, snorkel, surf and take in the sunset. Take a short stroll to world class Poipu beach where there is a shallow area and playground for the kids, lifeguards, picnic tables, bathrooms and to see the Sea Turtles come in for the night. Sometimes you will even find Monk Seals sleeping on the beach. Across the street you will have full access to the Poipu Athletic Club for open air workouts, resort-like pool with a sandy zero entry and water slide and the Cabana Grill for food and drinks. Laundry facilities on resort property. Nearby you can enjoy hiking Heritage Trail and seeing Makauwahi Cave Reserve, Spouting Horn Park, Allerton Gardens, Old Koloa Town and more. Take a 1/2 Day or Full Day trip to Waimea Canyon (the Grand Canyon of the Pacific), Lihue, Kapa'a, Princeville and Hanalei Bay. There is so much to do & see here on Kauai, the Garden Isle.

We had a great stay, the unit was clean and well cared for, with thoughtful amenities (beach towels and chairs). A quick walk down to the beach. The views were beautiful from with well appointed deck.

This property had a lot of great features. It was beautifully decorated and I love how the light switches, garbage disposal, and lamp switches were labeled. That made it very user friendly. The AC worked great in the main room, but it did not reach to the bedroom as well as I had wanted. The bed was quite uncomfortable and it felt weird to be lying on a slippery waterproof cover right under the fitted sheet. The beach was beautiful and it was very nice to be close to the Sheraton to be able to go grab drinks over there. We did not like having to walk so far to go over to the pool and we had wished that there was a pool right by the ocean. I know there’s nothing that you can do about that, but saying that the pool was “just across the street“ was misleading. It was a 10 minute walk from our condo to get to the pool. That part was super inconvenient. The walk to the beach wasn’t bad, but I definitely would not describe it as “steps to the ocean/beach“ Thank you for communicating with us about the coffee filters and salt and pepper missing. We had already gone to the store so we didn’t want to go back just for the pepper, but I know that you can’t control what somebody took out of the unit. The knives were very bad and did not cut well. They either need to be sharpened or replaced. The dining room table was beautiful, but we kept hitting our shins on the big piece of wood sticking out on the end of the table where the two chairs were. Overall, we had a great week.

Kiahuna Plantation is a great location on the south shore of Kauai. This unit was well kept, and the owner was very responsive and helpful to us during our stay. The only downside was the walk to the amenities (pool, tennis, fitness, etc) was across Poipu Rd and a bit far; however, the amenities themselves were amazing! In addition, this unit backs up to the adjacent property (Sheraton hotel) and is a little far from the main part of Kiahuna Plantation and the beach. But it's a nice walk through the gardens to get to the beach, so not a big deal. And there is a distant ocean view from the deck, which was nice. The owner provided beach chairs, and boogie boards, which the kids loved. Overall a great stay, and we would come back for sure!

Great home base

We had just three days on the island, and spent a day touring each side of the island, so this was the easiest place to stay to reach each side easily.Host was easy to reach to get extra linens for the pull out bed and was also able to arrange a late check out for us with the resort.

All the comforts of home.

Property seems recently renovated; furniture & floors; bed extremely comfortable; all the comforts of home! Short stay so we weren’t able to utilize the pool/health club. Close to beach & Poipu shopping; quiet surroundings. Really appreciate the art work of local sites! Would stay here again!

Very clean and beautiful

We did not stay long, just 3 nights at this vrbo. It was clean and well naintained. Cozy bed and great pull out sofa in new condition. Great working ac and also nice air flow option. Great balcony with nice view. Pool area was odd and far away only negative.

Great spot to stay

This spot was wonderful. Very clean, just a few minutes' walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the porch/lanai, which is set over the orchid garden and protected from the sun, making it a nice place to eat or read any time of day. If you open the vents, a fresh breeze moves through the apartment day and night. It was quiet and peaceful. Very convenient location too for stores, food, etc.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed our stay Kiahuna Plantation Resort. The unit was just as pictured and very clean. The resort staff were very friendly and check in/out was very easy. The unit owners were also very quick to respond to any messages. We had a short stay at the resort, so we did not use many of the amenities that were included, but the resort seemed well kept. The beach was beautiful and the resort was in a great location! Lots of families out on the grounds enjoying their vacations. The doors/windows to the outside in the unit were very thin, but it was very quiet at night, so noise was really not an issue for us. The unit had everything we needed for a nice weekend stay!
