"Overall, the hotel met our expectations, especially regarding the standard rooms. The general staff was extremely friendly and service-minded.
However, a serious issue arose with the operations director, who refused to take any responsibility, even in obvious situations. On three consecutive occasions, there was no hot water in our room. Each time we called staff, and they confirmed the issue – yet he flatly denied it was the hotel’s problem.
When I mentioned that it's unfortunately common in Thailand for technicians to claim that things work when they clearly don’t, he accused me of being racist. I found this deeply offensive and unfair. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been treated this poorly.
As a result, I requested to check out early – despite having three nights left and being on a family trip. This man has the rare ability to ruin a great hotel and an outstanding team. Give him a beautiful hotel and a dedicated staff – and he will still manage to mess it up."
