Inside this classic vacation rental, you'll enjoy a well-equipped, full kitchen with a breakfast bar for preparing anything from beach snacks to full-course dinners. Guests will also enjoy access to a shared, outdoor pool and hot tub located right in the heart of the complex, just steps from your door.

This is our third time staying at Kona Bali Kai, and it did not disappoint. We had everything we needed, it’s in the perfect location, and you can’t beat the view of the ocean from the lanai! I highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back again!

Views from the lanai, watching the sunset, waking up to surfers in the water and falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves was great. Unit was clean and stocked with all the basic needs. In comparison to the other oceanside condo's at this same facility that I have stayed in over the years, this one was on the lower end. The pictures on the website don't exactly represent what it actually looks like. The sliding screen doors are difficult to open, fall of the tracks & need maintenance. The beds are good but the furniture is old and worn. Patio & living room furniture is not what is shown. Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash bottles don't pump properly. Barbeque pit rods need to be replaced, fire was literally coming out of the knobs. I love this facility and will definitely return on my next visit, but will probably go back to one of the other condo's I've stayed in.

Great Place in Kona

Kona Bali Kai is always a great place to stay with an awesome ocean view. This Condo was clean and ready for me and the communication was great. Everything was as advertised.

Amazing view, perfect location

This was our second time staying in this building (different unit). View of the ocean is spectacular! Condo is older but meets all our needs. We were disappointed to see there were no beach chairs provided as visiting different beaches is our main activity .( There is a snorkel set and 2 pool noodles.) We bought 2 chairs and left them in the condo. Hopefully they will be there for the next renters. Other than that we had a great stay here!

Perfect location

Loved this little condo! The views from the lanai were amazing! Spent many mornings and evening just watching the waves. Great location, close to Kona. Traffic out of the condo can be a bit busy at time though. No problem with parking. Inside was clean. Lots of plates/utensils/pots and pans in the kitchen. And loved having the use of the bbq downstairs. Pool/hot tub were nice but we didn’t use it. We’d definitely stay here again! Thanks!

View amazing, some items in condo need to be upgraded

The view and size of patio were absolutely amazing. Perfect spot to watch the sunset. Tidal pool that presented the chance to see some fish and the occasional turtle. Depending on the waves there were often surfers on the ocean at the other end of the building that one can watch. Some items in the room such as the fridge, dishwasher work but cosmetically are in dire need of being replaced. Fridge inside is clean but the outside top specifically was completely rusted. Personally found the comfort of beds were 7 to 8 out of 10. About 40-50 min walk one way into Kona downtown. Was a bus shuttle stop close by that can take you down town if you don't have a car, an option we didn't explore. We chose to drive and had scoped out a couple of free parking places in close proximity to down town. Pool has late morning to early afternoon sun. In the shade as the later afternoon comes along. 2 seperate BBQ areas containing 2 x propane BBQ'. Tanks are brought out mid morning and then taken away around 8 o'clock. One had to be lit with BBQ lighter that was in the room as the self ignite didn't work consistently. We generally were eating at or before sunset so never ran into a problem competing for the grills. Personally were satisified with the unit - we were either out and about or sat in the deck. May stay again based on the view. Expect to overlook a few cosmetic things as this is not a newly renovated unit. If you need a brand new or newly renovated unit be forewarned.

Good location

We enjoyed our stay at Kona Bali Kai, it is a great jumping off location to explore the island and can’t beat the views from the lanai. Loved being able to see dolphins, turtles and whales. Tide pools are fun to explore. Unit was a little dated, but was clean and worked well for our family! The unit was well equipped.

Condo is old, dirty,, needs dire attention

Pro: beautiful view, on the water. Cons: Where do I start? I have over 20 photos of dirty & poorly maintained items in this condo. We were very disappointed. The kitchen is poorly supplied. We found a glass with lipstick marks in the cupboard. We found no scissors. Blinds that were hung on one side only. Unusable.Very few outlets BUT WORSE: when we used the blender, it blew out the power out on half of the condo. This happened 2 nights until we decided to use the blender on the other side of the condo. There were many areas where something had been hung before, but no spackling of the holes had been done. AND We came home one evening & found the smoke alarms going off. We called the maintenance office &they told us basically to live with it until the morning, but it was beeping! About half an hour later, they came up & pulled the whole assembly down. We asked them to come early in the morning to repair it. But instead, they came while we were out which we had asked them NOT to do. There were laundry pods but, overly scented. Many VRBOs have enough coffee for your stay, not here. The furniture is typical rattan & hawaiian print fabric but in dire need of cleaning! The bar stools are too tall for the bar therefore they are unusable. Honestly, I could go on And as mentioned I have over 20 photos of the unclean & broken/not maintained items. If I could ask for a refund of part of our money I would. This was my first time with VRBO & Vacasa. Might be my last.

Excellent location

I loved the ocean front deck. The two bedroom two baths worked great for my family size. The management communication and coordination was perfect. We truly enjoyed our stay specially being our first time in Hawaii.

Not impressed. Moldy shower curtain, mold in shower caulking and other places in bathrooms, hair on shower wall, DUST FILLED fan (wouldn't use it), doors that need to be fixed so they can open and close without getting STUCK each time (and they did!), moldy toilet brush sitting in gross moldy water, rusty and falling apart plug covers/shower curtain rod/electrical box/ironing board, rust under bed wheels, and more! I will not recommend this place. (I have pictures if you want them)
