"We live in Edinburgh but had to book somewhere to stay while we were having work done at our house and Sycamore Cottage was perfect for four of us. The bedrooms are really spacious and the kitchen is really well equipped which isn’t always the case in self catering accommodation. We didn’t think we’d need to use the log burner but a typical Scottish spring meant we used it a few nights and there was plenty of logs left for it. Easy to drive into Edinburgh or can get the train from Gorebridge....

"We had a wonderful time! We came for our honeymoon and Victor and Carina made us feel so welcome! The area is so quiet and beautiful, with many places for lovely walks nearby. The cottage is perfect for two people, and the back garden is so nice for meals."

"Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. "

"Nothing but glowing remarks for our stay in the Garden House at Oxenfoord Castle! Beautifully appointed. Very clean. Every supply you could ever need to prepare meals. Fantastic mud room with a great space to wash and fold laundry. Easy access to some of the best coastal golf in East Lothian/Mussleburgh area. 20 minute drive to downtown Edinburgh. Beautiful grounds with deer, pheasant, rabbits. Plentiful parking outside the unit. And above all....VERY accommodating owners. Without diving too...

"A wonderful cosy cottage near Kinross. The cottage was well equipped with very comfortable furnishings. We enjoyed meeting the owners who were very kind and friendly. Lots to see and do in the area. Easy access to Perth or Edinburgh by train or bus.We enjoyed the outside patio with lovely views of tranquil farmland."

"The weather wasn’t in our favor but it didn’t matter as the cottage was the perfect place to spend a rainy day. The home was far more spacious than the photos conveyed. We had plenty of room for our group of five. With a well fitted out kitchen, a nice supply of board games, and a cozy fire in the wood stove, everyone enjoyed themselves. Hopefully, we will be able to take advantage of the lovely enclosed private garden on a future visit."

"After a long drive to get there it was lovely to dump the cases and get into the hot tub. The accommodation was better than expected and we both enjoyed our stay there. We were told that the drive was a wee bit tight but other than that, no issues"

"We traveled with two kids under four, my spouse, and her parents. The apartment had tons of space and a nice patio as well. This cottage is literally built within the wall of the castle grounds. The very windows you look out to see the ocean and the sheep are built right into the wall. The walk around the property is fantastic. Beautiful rose gardens, herbs everywhere, and more apple trees than you can count. There are many walking trails just outside the castle walls as well. You will...

"Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips."
