"Mr Yamamoto is an excellent host who was very helpful. His fluent English is helpful. The house has a good supermarket and other shops very near by. 10-12 min walk to Kitaoji subway station. Taxis come upon request within a few minutes. Out of town center but a very comfortable place to stay."

The summer season in Kyoto is very uncomfortable to stay outside because of the hight temperature but, in this house, for some reason we could stay comfortably without air conditioner. The room on the 9th floor was very big, and the bed was extremely comfortable.
There is complementary tea and coffee in the reception area, which is nice in the morning.
The location of the hotel is great, and despite it being in the centre of everything, the room was very quiet.

"I knew that I was getting something cheap, but this was just horrible. Paper thin madras on concrete floor. Shared bathrooms constantly out of order. And young people in the front desk who couldn’t care less. "
"Fantastic stay! It was located nearby everything, but on a silent street. You can walk in the small streets with local shops or go to the bigger shopping areas, all by walking. Metro and bus nearby. Staff were very nice and the room clean and comfortable! I can recommend this hotel!"
