My wife and I moved to Houston for 3 months so we could get her the best care at MDAnderson. We came upon this Vrbo and it fit exactly what we needed. Upon arriving however, we felt apartment catfished. There were missing outlet covers; a whole kitchen drawer was missing; door stops were removed so doors kept crashing into the the opposite walls; a burner on the stove was out; the markings on the wall in the bathroom looked like splattered blood (we hope that was just paint); we got locked out of the house in the garage because the door knob was broken; the headboards on the beds were grungy; the sheets were threadbare; I will not discuss the condition of the mattresses; some of the blinds were messed up; and the blind opener in the master bedroom kept falling off. Mind you, these were the superficial things that were wrong. When we confronted our host about these things after we had been on the road for over 12 hours to get to Houston for just the possibility of getting my wife's life saved, instead of being apolgetic, he shot back at us to "just leave then." It was after 8 in the evening and we knew nothing about Houston and needed the place to stay. The host calmed down, we gave him the benefit of the doubt and went to the store to get supplies needed to clean up the apartment to make it a suitable place for my wife. There was an iron, but no ironing board. There was a can opener, but it was broken.
