Wholesome experience!
We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday, and I must say it was such a wholesome experience. They have beautiful rooms with amazing views, a wonderful campus, and super delicious food. I took the concierge's help to arrange a surprise cake, champagne, etc., for the room, making our experience even more memorable. We also did biking and archery, which was part of the campus. It's also a kid-friendly hotel. We would definitely come back again.

Disappointing first impressions
The property is very nice but hard to imagine how a two year old property can already be under renovation. 50% of the lobby area is closed for remodeling and it makes a huge difference, the remaining light area was very tight and not enough servers to attend to a large crowd of guests each night.

Wonderful stay
We stayed at Montage for two nights while touring Russian River Valley, and we enjoyed every aspect of it. The room was spacious, clean, with nice details. Having a glass of wine next to the fire on the balcony of your room while looking at the sunset was a memorable experience.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful. They fixed problems and didn't just pay lip service to your concern. My only complaint is with the valets. If you enter and leave the property, they keep your claim check after retrieving your car and upon your return seem aggravated by having to issue a new one.

We travel a lot, and stay at the various properties of this caliber often. This is the first of its kind that is simply not worth the money. It is like an afterthought. The review would simply take too long to cover all the issues with this property. From poor hiring, amenities, options, and subsequent cost of both time and money, it simply isn't worth near what this property charges. I don't know who designed the layout and features of this property but they should be washing dishes, not building first class European style resorts.

The Montage at Healdsburg is a pretty property just starting to get established, in a year or so the ambience of the property should be wonderful. We stayed in a vineyard room and the view over the small vineyard was very pretty. Open the glass doors and at night the gas fire on the balcony was great. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and up to expectations. Breakfast service was poor, especially the first day, one waiter kept dropping things, 20 minutes for 2 fried eggs, waiters forgetting orders, very disorganized and poorly trained staff. Getting rides to the rooms and back was very random. Call for a golf cart and they forget, on several occasions. Transportation to Healdsburg for dinner is also quite difficult. Cant get Uber in Healdsburg and relying on the hotel to organize transport is very random as well. Make a request and you find it never went through to the driver. The drivers were good, this did not have the feel of an excellent hotel. We will not be back, but will probably try their other hotels. Finally, my wife left a small bag in her draw with items she needed. We called the next day twice with a very lackadaisical response, still no response today. A great hotel operation would jump to help, Montage was simply disinterested. Altogether a beautiful location, but needs a lot of staff training. Getting a response was often like talking to a bored 17 year old boy. I realize staffing issues can be a problem - and they are here. I am sure it will improve.

Breathtaking property, the staff was very friendly, but it would be hard to get their attention sometimes, it took several unanswered calls to be able to talk to the restaurant to make a reservation, we had to walk our luggage to the lobby once we gave up on them sending to get it. But it was just small details that can be improved compared to the overall very nice experience.

Great stay!
Great stay! Right now the vineyards are barely planted so the property will look even better later once theyre full of vines. Rooms are all positioned to feel very private and comfortable. This is a great resort to lounge. You’re also very closeby to downtown healdsburg and to various wineries. Parking is $35 valet and don’t know if there’s another option. Only bad part to mention was we consistently had spiders and crickets crawl into our place each day.

Utmost luxury
This property is amazing! We used the spa and had room service and both were utmost luxury. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again. Check-in was easy. We were given a great room with a great view. And bonus- most amenities were available despite COVID times!

Great resort just a few kinks in kitchen
The resort is beautiful and tranquil the designer and architect did a fantastic job building the bungalows into nature. The kitchen and waitstaff has some work to do. I have given 4 instead of 5 because I ordered a burger for lunch it was undercooked I did ask for medium/well it came out rare I had a few bites. Service was slow and I couldn’t find my server to have them cook it longer. We ordered room service and ordered a few things and added the burger again asked well done this time. The burger was red and mushy inside, once again I could not eat it. Thank goodness I ordered a back up meal in case it happened again.

Disappointing service and experience all around. Started with the lack of cultural competence in referring to my husband and I as ‘Mr and Mrs’ by email, and the lack of polish and customer centricism has continued through with nearly every pass. I don’t think we’ll be back.

Beautiful property in the heart of Healdsburg. Montage never disappoints. This hotel was immaculately designed from the rooms, to the grounds, to the facilities. The rooms were spacious, private, and chic. The restaurants were delicious and there was great ambiance being seated by the fire pits. I cannot wait to come back when all the vines have grown throughout the property. I can only imagine that it will be stunning. We will definitely be returning.
