HMB lodge is a hidden gem with beautiful clean rooms, private balconies and many more wonderful amenities. The location is perfect, near a beautiful beach, restaurants and a spa. This is my go to spot whenever I am visiting family in the area.

Courteous, efficient staff. Pleasant dining room with reasonable breakfast options. Pool/hot tub, along with outdoor firepit area, are very good. Snacks and alcoholic beverages available for purchase in lobby. Good family restaurant adjacent. Well-maintained dog-walk area.

Hi Mr. Carlos, thank you for the feedback, yes, the property is older and does have its charm. Our rooms were refreshed in the spring of 2023. Our guest service staff is very hospitable please let us know how we can best assist you.

Dear Jacob, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Yes the property is an older property and it does not have AC, all rooms come with in rooms ceiling fans plus all rooms have private balcony's and decks with patio doors to allow that natural coastal breeze to pass through. Last year the hotel did a spring refresh, I am sorry to hear if there was noise that created a disturbance. Please know you are always welcome to reach out to the front desk and we are more than happy to see how we can best assist. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed Joe's Restaurant next to the hotel. We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Great location, room was clean, staff was friendly. I upgraded for a fireplace room but it smelled like a fire pit. The common spaces were well groomed and relaxing. The pool area was small and super busy, but we got to enjoy the hot tub at night. We had dinner at the restaurant across the way and it was good. Will definitely book there again. 💯

We enjoyed the beautiful location of the hotel and it was comfortable enough, but could've used a freezer in the room! Was convenient having a family restaurant in the parking lot, and the complementary breakfast had great options. Found it to be a bit pricey for the room we had, but assume this largely factors in the location. Downside was being on the first level and many guests letting their dogs off leash in the back lawn area, which then ran up to our Windows/doors and set our dog off.

The facility and grounds were nice inside and out. The breakfast room was too small there were not enough places to sit. The food was very disappointing.

Really liked this property. The only downsides were 1)sliding door & screen need fixing 2)shower temp is sensitive so there's a small margin between cool and really hot.

Staff was okay. Our room had no hand soap to wash hands after using the bathroom. I did appreciate house keeping everyday they left the room spotless. There was a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot, it was there before we got there and was still there when we checked out I notified the staff and she didn’t seem to care and cut me off saying they were aware. . I also think the restaurant and spa in front makes the place look trashy.

Room was a generous size with sliding doors out to the lawn and pool area. Loved that the room had an open fireplace and that the inn is dog friendly.

This would have been a perfect 5 if the AC was working. We’ve been here years ago for our anniversary and we are back again to celebrate our 20th. Love this place - clean and in the middle of everything.

Our new favorite place to stay in Half Moon Bay! We found our check in to be easy and the staff friendly and accommodating. From the balcony of our second floor room we could see the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable. We didn’t find the furniture to be outdated in the least as other reviewers stated. It was a quick walk next door to Joe’s restaurant for dinner.

All good except the included breakfast. I arrived at 9:00am, breakfast is supposed to be until 10:00am, there were no bagels, no sausages,no bacon, no coffee, no tea bags, no cream. When I asked the girl handing the breakfast I received an attitude. She did bring out coffee and a couple of bagels. Wow

I stay here every time I visit Half Moon Bay. The hotel is lovely! Staff are always helpful! The pool is heated and the hot tub feels amazing after a day of sight seeing. Breakfast in the morning is a plus! You can also rent bikes!

The fitness center is in need of a rehaul. Broken treadmill, very old elliptical and stationary bike. Nice assortment of free weights. Overall it seemed dirty and I didn't want to work out there.
