"Amazing breakfast which was included in the price of hotel. Lovely quiet hotel in good location. Room was a little on the dark side and could have benefitted from a light near the mirror for dressing and makeup. it was also a little too warm but there was a fan in the room."

The hotel is located in a perfect spot - the area is not too crowded, day to day shopping nearby & central Manchester is within walking distance. The hotel staff at the front desk is efficient & friendly & the rooms are kept clean at all times.
Also... do visit the Refuge... on ordinary days the food and drinks/cocktails are good... but... do also check out the events at the...

"We stayed here for a 3rd time as our experiences in the past have been excellent.
The room is a great layout and the beds are so comfortable, we slept so well.
Despite being in the heart of the city centre with really busy nightlife going on outside the soundproofing blocks all of the noise out.
The location is very central, so for us that meant we had a great choice of pubs and restaurants within 10 minutes in all directions.
Breakfast was excellent too, great choice of hot and cold foods."

"Brilliantly situated near Manchester Piccadilly Station, and offering a roomy, comfy an full featured room for my one-night stay, I don’t really have no reason to not recommend this hotel to anyone I care about. I wish that it was possible to open a window though. Aircon is body unhealthy and a terrible waste of energy."

"Ligger super centralt og kun 5-7 min gågang fra Manchester Piccadilly togstation. Stort set midt i centrum og alt ligger tæt på hotellet Rigtig sødt personale og hotellet var lige åbnet dagen før, så der var ekstra god service med velkomstdrinks osv.
Lækkert værelse og fint hotel - eneste ting der var lidt irriterende var at det kun var den ene elevator der virkede og den var meget optaget, men alt i alt, så rigtig god oplevelse"

Room very small and cramped and is NOT AT ALL “roomy” as said in the hotels own description.
Music was far too loud in reception, breakfastroom and barroom areas. Very intimidating and made us leave the bar in the evenings and NOT use the restaurant.

"Dejligt rustikt og lækkert hotel, forholdsvis centralt i Manchester. Fin service og rummelige værelser med alt hvad du skal bruge. Udemærket morgenmad med et fint klassisk engelsk udvalg.
Ca. 40 minutters gang fra Old trafford hvor man kan gå langs kanalen der ligger lige op ad hotellet.
God service hvor man kan få sine kufferter opbevarede både før og efter ind-og ud tjekning. Alt i alt en rigtig god oplevelse. "

"A lovely hotel. Very nice staff. However in the room the floor was not washed at there was an old puddle of some pop on the floor. There was was some marks on the pillow but this looked more like wear and tear. It did not bother us enough to contact the staff. The bathroom was large and spacious which was nice and good quality soaps "
"Staying at The Alan was such a delight! I arrived late, but Komal at the front desk was very welcoming and sweet. She even upgraded my room. Perfect beginning for my stay. Everyone was friendly, and the location was great. Room was spacious, had super cool decor and all in all everything was very positive. Big regards to James Sullivan and his whole team as well. Will defintely return, and I highly recommend staying at The Alan :)"

"Havde fint ophold - boet der flere gange grundet den gode lokation! Dog havde vi lidt problemer med morgenmaden, som var noget langsom samt en alarm på værelset, som hotellet ikke løste tilfredsstillende! Ellers er alt godt, men akustikken i baderummet er forfærdentlig ringe."

"Hotel is new and modern. Location is perfect, can easily walk into central. Also great public transport options, even though we used Uber. There’s a Costa and Sainsbury’s across the road if you need to grab some morning coffee or basics.
Staff at hotel were welcoming and super helpful.
The hotel room was nice clean and modern. Housekeeping came everyday and always gave us extra towels.
The bed was comfy - but not the pillows.
Downsides :
- room was a bit cramped, not much floor space for luggage etc.
- Lighting in both bathroom and room was not the best esp as we were 2 women who like good lighting for doing our makeup.
- The bathroom also felt cramped, the flush on the toilet was positioned awkwardly and had to press a specific forceful way to flush. No air vents in bathroom.
- In the room there is only one full length but not wide window, so natural light isn’t much.
- The curtain didn’t fully close to the end so if you are someone who needs full darkness to sleep in then I would double check as my room mate did not sleep much due to the light coming in.
- No water bottles were provided in the room. We went and purchased our own. If you are not a local to Manchester, be aware of the different taste and smell of tap water in the whole city, hence why we purchased our own.
Other than these I would say the hotel is nice and worth the money if the above downsides are something that you can live with. I probably would book this hotel again if I was coming for 1 night "

"Virkelig meget komfort med central belliggenhed i forhold til pris. Lidt gammelt og slidt værelse, men man kan på ingen måde forvente mere i den prisklasse og her var rent. Gulvet knirkede meget, men sådan er det selvfølgelig i et gammelt hus."
