"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Welsh Marches. The property was very clean and modern with great facilities. The view from our cottage was beautiful and such a lovely view to wake up to. Our 2 year old German Shepherd had plenty of room and was extremely comfortable the whole stay which was a worry of mine! My only criticism is the WiFi was quite slow but it wasn’t too much of a problem. The surrounding areas were beautiful and there were so many walks to go on which was so enjoyable....

"The Pound was an incredible stay! The cottage itself was gorgeous internally and externally. Has everything you need to make yourself 'at home'. Cottage heats up well once thermostat is turnt on. Very accommodating owners, very nice and helpful. Communication was excellent "

"After a stressful journey we were made to feel instantly at home with a thoughtful and lovely welcome package. The house was as described and extra effort had been made with the childrens room to ensure any family with children would be instantly entertained. A great property a fabulous host and a lovely placr to explore the countryside from."

"We had a lovely stay here. Stunning views from the cottage and was all very cosy and well-equipped. Great walks nearby and a pub within walking distance. We used the fire in the living room but it doesn't draw very well, so the room got very smoky (but might be my fire-making skills not being up to scratch!). Not the easiest to get to, especially if you have a large car. You'll need the directions, as it's really tucked away."

"If we could give this more than 5 stars we would. The hosts met us with welcoming smiles and showed us all we needed to know about the cottage. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern and extremely functional and did not detract from the quaintness and character of the rest of the cottage. We enjoyed sitting in front of the wood burner in the living room on our return from excursions in the evening and early mornings before heading out for the day. it was so peaceful and quiet there, nestled into...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Spring Cottage. It is situated at the end of a quiet lane with fantastic views over the Wye Valley. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard with a lovely garden. There are lots of interesting walks that you can start from the cottage. It was spotlessly clean and was well equipped. We would highly recommend!"

"The property was tired & grubby & not beautiful as described. There were 2 very full large builders skips right in front of the property making sitting out in the tiny courtyard quite an unpleasant experience. In the morning there was no hot water to the property. No tea towels for drying crockery."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is cosy and specious. Everything you need is there. The view from the hill is stunning. Nice walks from the cottage. As to the area of South Wales: it was difficult to keep our teenagers engaged and busy all week. A week in these surroundings was a little long for the boys."

"The cottage was very comfy and very clean. Debs was lovely and made such a fuss of our puppy. The pub was welcoming and again everyone made our puppy feel welcome which we were worried about. "

"Property was lovely and spacious, bathrooms could do with either un upgrade or deep clean but were functional and plenty hot water. We didnt use cooking facilities etc, just really bed and sitting rooms, but all were comfortable. Parking on the street is a bit of a challenge as its so narrow but is available. Great wee pub at the end of the street. And plenty of takeaways deliver."

"Very much enjoyed our stay despite the weather being so wet. Sadly couldn't make the fire work luckily the heating was good which aided drying wet clothes. Indoor drying rack would be a nice idea. Excellent parking a friendly neighbours. The three bedrooms were all comfortable with good storage. Having two bathrooms and three toilets for a group of five was a nice. For the girls they would like to have a long mirror. It would be useful to have instructions on what to do with the recycling...

"I booked this place knowing little other than it was close enough to Cardiff for us to stay after the Bruce Springsteen concert. It was very well appointed, with a well equipped kitchen / dining room, spacious wet room, large bedroom and lounge with a sofa bed. And a hot tub in the communal garden area! One point that is not related to the accommodation that I wish I’d known - some of the roads are very narrow and as it’s a very hilly area there are a few hairpin bends which I found difficult...
