"The beds were comfortable and clean. There was a slight learning curve to operating the shower. The kitchen was modern clean and fully stocked. There was also an honesty bar that provided all sorts of mixed drinks and wines. The back garden could use some work and cleaning, but we enjoyed sitting under a willow tree, listening to the sounds of sheep, birds, and bees. "We could not have enjoyed our stay at the Ciderhouse Cottage any more! It was perfect for our needs, very clean, comfortable and practical without any unnecessary frills. The setting is wonderful and there is plenty of access to great local pubs, restaurants, shops in Monmouth while you can retreat to your own little cottage far from the noisy world. Dave was a wonderful host and especially kind and forbearing with my teenage daughters who showed a keen interest in his farm and Nell, the farm...

"We had a great family weekend away. The house is lovely and the beds were very comfortable. Its run by the pub next door and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Very good location for shops if you run out of supplies. BBQ could do with a good clean as too dirty and rusty to use. Stairs very narrow and windy so not suitable for people with limited mobility."
