Dejligt, stille og perfekt.
Dejligt hotel nærliggende Bláa lagune, og det var derfor vi valgte dette hotel. Morgenmaden var en fantastist oplevelse.

Hotellet har det hele
Dejligt hotel med store værelser. Restauranten serverede god mad og morgenmaden var dejligt. Rolige omgivelser godt udgangspunkt for udflugter.

Dejligt roligt og servicemindet hotel
Super godt hotel, let til den blå Laguna, meget venligt personale, høj renlighed og dejligt stille omgivelser. Hotellet udstråler ro og afslapning kan varmt anbefales.

Afslappet med hyggelig atmosfære
Hyggeligt hotel med dejlig afslappet atmosfære og rigtig god og personlig service. Lidt lydt på værelset. Men så hører man når de andre gæster sent skal ud og se på nordlys :) Vi var super heldige og så nordlys begge aftener. Meget hyggeligt lounge område med spil og pejs. Dejlig restaurant med god serviceniveau og skønt lysindfald og udsigt.

All of the staff were so kind and helpful. We were able to check in early after a red eye flight. Our group enjoyed the quiet and the cozy lounge spaces to hang out as a group. We used the restaurant for all of our meals as we arrived on a windy, rainy day. This is a great spot to stop for a night if you plan to visit the Blue Lagoon after flying into REK. The lava fields surrounding the hotel are other worldly!

Very lovely stay! Great facility, kind staff, delicious breakfast. Nice stay outside of the city and proximity to the Blue Lagoon.

Average accommodation close to blue lagoon
Close to Blue lagoon however the Power plant close by spoils the atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and the inn has a Nice lounge area. Beds are confortable and the rooms are comparatively large. Parts of the inn need a refirbishment. The name “Northern light inn” can be deceiving as I don’t think it would be easy to see the lights considering the light pollution around the inn.

There is actually no light pollution in our parking lot where we tell people to gather to enjoy the northern lights when they appear, like many pictures on our website show.

This place is great. We stayed just one night for a stopover in Iceland on our way back from Spain. Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is great, and the 24-hour honesty bar is a nice touch. The free shuttle to and from the blue lagoon is very useful. Would recommend.

The location and views were awful. The hotel is located adjacent to a geothermal power plant. I would not recommend this hotel. I think it is over priced for the location, room quality and general amenities.

Clean, friendly staff, very good restaurant, within walking distance of Blue Lagoon. A car is must if staying more than one night as, except for the Blue Lagoon, there is nothing near by.

Booking rate and charges jumped from $389.96 to $410.98 , why?,, Request a taxi from hotel to airport on arrival for next morning early flights , not done, thank goodness I wake up early and one taxi could do it

Hi Nicola, we charge in local currency and there are fluctuation between USD and ISK which is quite normal, especially for a small currency as the Icelandic krona

The property gives off a roadside motel vibe. It's situated directly beside a major power station. The room design feels cold, lacks warmth. It is impractical for extended stays. While the restaurant is decent, it doesn't stand out. The staff is pleasant and makes a genuine effort. However, I don't foresee a return visit.

What a nice simple property. Staff was amazing. Used the sauna and meditation area. Excellent after a long flight. Food was delicious and service was great. Would easily stay there again.

A nice property right next to the Blue Lagoon and convenient to the Keflavik Airport. The have a full service restaurant and all your major needs covered. They have an exceptional guest lounge and honor bar to relax and enjoy.

Wonderful staff, friendly helpful reception, cosy lounge with an honesty bar. Good size rooms. Max’s restaurant was great, good quality food. If you are going to the Blue Lagoon, it’s incredibly close. Dont be put out off by the geothermal power station, or the ugly lava rock that surrounds the hotel, it’s just what it is. Great local things to go an experience from steam vents, bubbling mud pools, and a great hike to the mouth of the lava flow from July 2023.

It was very lovely. Food was excellent. Very close to Blue Lagoon which is where we were going. They had a shuttle, but we walked 1.5 miles Also close to the airport

Amazing hotel
The staff at the Northern Lights Inn was over the top helpful and kind (especially Gabor). We were all exhausted from being on the go for 15 days and they were very patient and provided excellent info to us. They also have a beautiful restaurant where the food and staff was fantastic as well. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. They have a free shuttle, but it's walking distance to the Blue Lagoon and the rooms were huge and clean. Thank you so much for making our short stay in Iceland a memorable one!

Great hotel for a quick layover and Blue Lagoon trip. Although the hotel offered a shuttle to the lagoon we really enjoyed the walk. Staff was great and helpful, dinner at hotel was nice, and the room was nice.

Wonderful accommodations. Meals were very good. Transportation to the Blue Lagoon, and quick taxi to the airport. Will be staying here again!
