Exactly as described- only better
Super convenient to the fairgrounds/Fonner Park. I think the property is actually better than the pics. Would have loved to enjoy the back yard more- just short on time.

Very nice!
Property was clean, inviting and an excellent location for being at the NE state fair. Pool and overall accommodations were exactly what we needed at a reasonable price! We wjll definitely look at staying here again next year.

Hometown Visit
Spacious, comfortable, clean accommodation for a trip my hometown. Just outside of town in a rural subdivision. Property is shared by the owners and one other rental unit. Nice outdoor space with new landscaping, swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit and grill. Included a kitchen area with small refrigerator, microwave and sink. Nice bathroom with a good shower. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet and Relaxing Place of Respite
We came to see the Sandhill Cranes and very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place! The hosts were very responsive if we needed something, and the location and offerings were perfect for our needs! They even provided a warm continental breakfast, at a time that was good for us, as long as we let them know the night before. We'd stay here again!

Quaint
Nice location. Good communication before arrival - made sure we knew where we were going. Looked clean. Dog smell. No coffee. No propane in fire pit. Uncomfortable with owner sitting in the corner when we were outside. Totally understandable - worries about their property. Minor things. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful sweet amazing outdoor area
This was the nicest VRBO we've ever stayed in. There was a problem on the VRBO side with directions and check in but not with the host. So sorry we couldn't have stayed longer this was a perfect stay

Wonderful!
Hosts were incredible! The property was lovely. Bed was super comfy. All the little extras made it feel like home - only better. My husband and I were speechless when the hostess asked us what time we wanted our breakfast delivered the next morning. We only wished we had more time to enjoy the pool and hot tub.

Love this place
I’ve stayed twice on my way between Denver and Iowa and the last stay was for a move from Denver to Iowa. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the hosts are very accommodating and nice. Hoping to make a trip back to enjoy the area more at some point.

Nebraska State Fair Marathon
Great place to to stay for State Fair and relax after running Nebraska State Fair Marathon. Hosts are great and accommodated simple special request. The suite is clean and simple and essentially pool side. Definitely a place to stay and relax.

Fun getaway
We had a great time staying here and really enjoyed all the backyard had to offer. Our dog also enjoyed playing with the family’s dogs. Hosts were nice and resolved any issues quickly. Highly recommend!

Great little weekend getaway!
This little mother in law suite was ADORABLE! But let’s talk about the backyard….AMAZING!! We didn’t get a chance to utilize the heated pool but we enjoyed its view every night under the gazebo! If you’re looking for a calm, quiet location, this is your place! Will definitely stay here again if ever in the area!

Low price is deceiving!! Beware of fees.
The property is exactly what it says in the description. It’s attached to the house with a separate entrance. however, the doors within the space cannot be locked from inside, which made us feel uncomfortable because the owners could enter the space anytime. We arrived on a Saturday to find a pool party going on. It was uncomfortable to have to unload our luggage while people were drinking and partying. When I considered renting this VRBO I read in the reviews another person complained of the same thing. I hoped that the owner would have changed based on that review. It is just one room and a small bathroom that has a noisy fan that runs all night. The fan was good placed on a high shelf so it could not be reached to turn off. The main reason we chose a VRBO was to have a fridge and a place to rest that was not a hotel. This was definitely not private, actually it was the same as staying in a hotel with people walking by your door. The fridge is really small and loud. The parking is limited and you have to work around whatever car is parked in the driveway. They were doing construction in the backyard so there were more cars and people there. We come every year for the state horse show and I will not be staying here again. Besides the fore mentioned issues, the property ended up costing twice what the advertised price. We were charged extra for a cleaning fee, however our room was not cleaned once during our four day stay nor did we ever receive new towels.

Hello Lisa Thank you for your review, we welcome reviews as it helps us make the suite as good as possible for guest. A couple of points 1) Both doors to the suite can be locked from the inside, I am sorry you felt you couldn't, and subsequently you felt uncomfortable. 2) From our records when you arrived there was no one at the house, as requested we sent you self check-in instructions. The day before your booking we explained our sisters family and nephews were coming to town and we asked you if we could use our pool and hot tub from 7-9:30pm. You said this was ok, we certainly would not have said yes if you weren't';t comfortable. 3) The circulation fan in the 50sf bathroom is higher up but the switch is lower down. We'll make sure to label the switch and see if we can swap the fan. out for a more silent model. 4) The fridge is a smaller size to keep with the asthetics of the room. The sign on the fridge does offer use of a much larger unit in the private garage. 5) Our drive will happily accommodate 9 cars. We always try to leave the 3 spaces nearest to the suite free for our guests. 6) Please do reach out to us about the cost doubling. We are aware of the cleaning charge for a dog of $35 and also the extra $9 per person for each of the two additional guests that were not on the booking. VRBO are very strict about us ensuring the booking reflects the correct number of guests staying for insurance. 7) We are more accind to a B&B than a hotel and advertise as such. Thus the suite is cleaned each stay. We encourage our guests should they need additional cleaning, supplies or towels etc please ask and we are more than happy to accomodate. Overall we are so sad that your stay was disappointing, it's certainly not our intention. We try to above and beyond to accommodate guests and make your stay special and relaxed. We hope there were some positive memories for you including being able to bring your local friends and their children for the afternoon and evening to enjoy the pool and backyard.

Highly recommend! We had a great stay passing through on our way to see family! We received a very warm welcome and had the choice between privacy or joining the homeowners in their island oasis of a backyard. The room was cozy, the bed was a cloud, and the decor was lovely. The last bonus was our dog was welcome too : )

Not what it's cracked up to be
Beautiful property and room but not quite ready for guests. I think they are on to something nice but not there yet. Nothing worked properly. Would've been comfortable for 2 of adults but the sofa beds were not comfortable at all for adults (maybe ok for kids). Hot tub didn't work, was dirty too. There weren't any outlets in the bathroom for getting ready and there weren't any other mirrors in unit for getting ready. Gas firepit didn't work either. Construction in progress, workers in our room and no lighting to get back to the unit.

Excellent stay. Amazing space.
Greg was an awesome host. He was very friendly and nice. We loved the breakfast and other amenities. Bed was comfy. The Work that he is doing now in the backyard and the pool will be an oasis. We highly recommend his place.

TERRIBLE Property Owners
My wedding night, my mother rented this property for us to stay at. We show up to the property owners and friends of theirs sitting outside, drinking and being loud and obnoxious around a fire under their gazebo. I, as the bride, already uncomfortable entered the suite. The suite was beautiful I will say that. Little black bugs all over the place in the bathroom but neither here nor there. We sat down to begin out honeymoon to hearing every word they were saying as well as the belligerent laughter. They claim their walls are sound proof, absolutely not. My husband had a family member there that he went out and smoked with to say hello and ask for a wine opener. They are making up lies that they asked my husband is it was okay they were outside in which he supposedly said "oh ya no problem perfectly fine" in which he DID NOT. He was being kind and saying hello to his family member before coming back in to me. We turned up music to attempt to forget they were right outside the door. We made it about an hour and a half of reading cards and conversing before we decided this is enough, how tacky and disrespectful, and we left. It was our wedding night. Privacy is NOT an accurate posting in this property, the owners are refusing to refund based on lies they have made up when we clearly were bothered considering we LEFT an hour and half after arriving. I would not recommend any romantic get-a-ways or special occasions at this property. Clearly they rent out the suite to a couple on a wedding night to have a party and sit outside right next to it. I cannot ONE star this enough.

Firstly we are terribly sorry you did you enjoy your stay. You are right were sitting in our backyard with two friends enjoying a chat and firepit drink. Upon your arrival at around 11pm we showed you into the property. Within minutes your husband came out and joined us and his family member for a drink, happily telling us about your day. We offered to head inside our house but he insisted we stayed, he remained with us for 30 mins chatting. We are again terribly sorry your night was not as you expected but would also ask that you offer a fair and balanced review.

Wonderful place in the middle of nowhere.
We were trying to avoid the Motel 6's of the world, as we were making a cross-country trek. Halfway was Grand Isle Nebraska. This was a large studio apartment, complete with an electric fireplace, microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, comfortable bed, and seating area. Our hosts were very hospitable even on our late arrival. They had waffles in a basket on our steps the next morning. Swimming pool is almost finished and it will be a lovely yard, fire pit, etc in a few weeks. We would stay again.

Wonderful stay
My family stayed here as a quick overnight stop on a road trip, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The suite was comfortable and immaculate. It is attached to the main house but has a separate entrance in the back yard. It’s in a relaxed residential area just outside of town. The listing says there’s a pool, but when we stayed, it was under construction. Craig and Kimberly invited us to use their backyard, and they were ever so gracious and accommodating to our needs. They even prepared a delicious breakfast for us and delivered it to our suite. Highly recommend!!
