"The best way to describe the Great Western is with the two words, quaint and quirky! The house is in the middle of a massive re-vamp, but that did not impinge on my stay, which was short, but long enough to form a very positive opinion. My room was clearly re-purposed, with the en-suite bolted on, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom fittings were quite new and of a good standard. The furnishings were old-fashioned, but I thought that gave the place its charm and...

We had a couple minor issues (not the fault of the hotel in any way) which were resolved quickly and easily by the staff. The bathroom in my room was excellent. "We had a lovely stay , property clean and stylish. Beach and park only 5 minute walk down small hill. Would have prefered bedroom window blinds to be darker as kept the rooms quite light all through the night. Only issue we had was property above , very creeky and loud bangs on ceiling thriughout the night ."
