The place is nice and there are some rooms that have a great view of the canal. I have stayed here before and wanted to stay again but this time was not the greatest experience. There was a terrible parking situation. Way too busy of a check in time with the concert, however it could have been handled better. There’s only two spots for cars to check in and about 5-7 of us trying to check in. Cars were beeping, it was chaos.

Property is very dated. I can only imagine how many greasy porn movies were made in that hot tub when the hotel first opened. It was the best option at the time but i wouldn’t put it on the top of my list of places to return to.

We had a fabulous time at the Tiki, pretty much untill night time. The room itself was fab. Heaps of space, great views, everything we needed. Kids loved the big spa bath, and it is walking distance to everywhere central. All was going great But then when night time came it all went south. The pull out sofa was terribly uncomfortable and I can honestly say I’m not a fussy sleeper. The traffic noise was so loud in the main room, we had to move the mattress into the living room, and then the TV would not turn off. We tried everything, couldn’t access the switch to even unplug it. So trying to get 2 toddlers to sleep with a tv lighting up the room (we even tried putting tshirts over the screen) was a nightmare. Then when the baby woke up for a bottle in the night, the hot water was turned off, so on went the kettle which woke everyone up. Safe to say we got zero sleep. Probably wouldn’t have been as bad if we didn’t have the kids, more suited if your going for a big night out type stay.

As discussed at check-in, we have a 24 hour assistance phone number located on the hotel key - we would have been more than happy to investigate the issues you encountered or notified you that the TV switch was under the TV or power switch in the shelf just below it. We have just upgraded the building's hot water system, so we apologize that the supply wasn't consistent throughout your whole stay.

Convenient smaller hotel, very close to most main areas of surfers paradise, friendly staff, Hotel definitely outdated but you get what you pay for, quite noisy overnight between people coming back to hotel and Main Street, spa bath a big plus with the kids, pool and slide great,

I was charged extra on parking as they said i booked through expedia. I booked for 4 people but there was only 1 bed, again i have to pay $250 extra for extra bed

Hi Nitika, your booking did come through the Expedia network, as your point of sale or travel agent must have booked through them. They should have passed on the information available on Expedia that parking is 15 per night.There were two beds in your apartment as advertised, an additional bed can optionally be hired from our supplier for 35 per night as discussed.

Just stayed 3 nights with my wife and 2 girls, for the price we paid it was really good. Our view from the room (704) over the river was amazing, we had glimpsed over some negative reviews prior to getting here but they can only be from people who are expecting 5 star for 3 star prices. Some aspects of the apartments are a little outdated, would have been the bees knees back in the 80s but the bedrooms and the kitchen are clean and newer. The pool is great for the kids, they loved the slide, it does need updating a bit, there is a row of tiles about a foot into the pool and some tiles are broken or missing, the broken ones could be sharp, get that sorted and the pool is fine. The location is brilliant, we walked straight up the main strip and to Surfers beach in 10 mins. We would definitely stay again when we head back to Surfers if the prices were around the same again.

Hot water was not adjusted and it was very hot it almost burned my hand when I wanted to wash a plate. I think it has safety concern

The hotel is in a great location ...in the middle of Surfers Paradise and an easy walk to lots of attractions, dining, night markets and of course the beach! The only down side was that the apartment was in need of an update, the kitchen smelt damp. I was really looking forward to a glass of wine while relaxing in the spa bath .... unfortunately no hot water! It was late so we reported it in the morning and they got it seen to straight away.

It seems that you didn't report the smell in the kitchen to our staff during your stay. Our housekeeping team would have probably been able to fix it for you.We're happy to know that you enjoyed the rest of your stay!

The rooms were neat and tidy. We were glad there were fans in the lounge and bedroom as the air con didn't work. But after speaking with reception, they were prompt on inspecting it and gave a refund after it was deemed broken. We loved the security of the whole hotel. The pool and spa were fantastic!! Definitely recommend and will be returning as soon as we can!

The hotel is close to everything, which is great. The room has some water damage on wondow sills but it was clean. The bed was really comfy. The only down fall was the noise in corridors outside and no communication when a fire alarm went on. We just went back into our room after the fire brigade turned off the alarm.

Very dirty apartment, the couches are so old, from the 90s and just smell musty and unwashed. Bed mattress could feel the springs. Would not return. Very outdated, and soft furnishing covers also old. Just felt dirty.

Great room, some maintenance needed: no plug for spa; spa pump way to noisy to be useable (like having a bath with a lawnmower in the bathroom; guard rail on pool slide not attached at top of slide. Otherwise awesome room and view.

My room was crawling with cockroaches. I have about 14 on video in the one evening. Found them in the bed sheets, dropping from the ceiling to the pillow. Never felt more disgusted in my Life and I’ve travelled the world, I got zero sleep. It’s a clear issue and many reviews of it. Was offered to stay in another room but I had no interest in staying at this hotel. Friends also found roaches in their rooms. I was given a refund. Bed only has a sheet and the blankets were dirty and had old food smooshed in it. Bath/shower would not recommend for oldies. Hotel smells stale. Needs a serious update and shut down to deal with the infestation, fly spray will not cut it!

Hi Brooke, we're sorry to hear that you encountered issues during your stay. We have since changed both our pest control company and the frequency of treatments, after the two extreme weather events this summer saw a couple of pest invasions occur.

The building is showing it’s age and hasn’t been renovated for a long time, but for the price we found it clean, and in a great location and generally really good for what you pay in the Gold Coast cbd

Only giving it 1 star because 0 stars isn't an option. If you're into being exposed to public health hazards from black mould; horrendous, rude customer service (including being many hundreds of dollars out of pocket having to leave and find alternative accommodation due to mould); being promised a bed (and washing machine) in the photos at the time of booking and then discovering there's not actually a bed (or washing machine) in the room; broken, dirty, used crockery and cutlery, bad smells and broken fixtures, this place is for you

Hi Rose, as previously discussed with you, there were no issues noticed by our cleaners or yourself at the time of check-in. Due to the high humidity following the two extreme weather events on 25/12 and 1/1, this particular apartment did develop an issue which was professionally treated on the same day you raised the issue with us, after your early departure. We are confused by your comment about there not being a bed in the apartment, as the Queen bedroom is difficult to miss. Washing machines and Dryers are available in the two x 24-hour shared laundry rooms, as advertised.
