"The location was perfect and the host was more than accommodating. I recommend anyone who wants to stay in a quiet peaceful place and visit the national forest this place is for you. The only recommendation I have is check your email prior to going to the destination for instructions. The area is remote and cell signal is off and on. Once you arrive and access wifi your phone works perfectly."

"Excellent place to stay to explore the eastern portion of the Shawnee National Forest. We used it as a launching point to see the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, and Dixon Springs State Park. Wish we had another day to do more exploring. The cabin is secluded, so stock up on groceries and charcoal for the grill before you arrive. "We spent 2 lovely days here. Cooked the majority of our meals in the kitchen which was well stocked, though we could not get the electric kettle to work (could be user error?). The bed was very comfortable and the outside was beautiful and well laid out. We used the fire pit and the hot tub. Bought firewood at a grocery store in Goreville along with some steaks to cook. Close to some nice hikes. Very happy with our stay!"
