The area was wonderful, close to a lot of activities and the host offered one free ticket to several of the attractions through a partner company. The only complaint is the water pressure in the shower so very low and there were a couple of areas in need of repair.

Overall, the area is amazing, the beach isn’t over-crowded, and there’s lots to do! We were a 15 minute drive from Destin, and just down the street from a yummy ice cream shop!This was an inexpensive condo, and there’s a reason for that. While the complex itself has some condos with beach views, this unit is not one of them. There was one coffee mug for 4 people to share. A lot of the dishes were dirty upon our arrival, so everything had to be washed before we could use anything.

Great location. Family friendly. Nice pool. However, parking wasn’t great, there wasn’t much to accommodate your stay. Such as, paper towels, extra tp, any cleaning supplies, no washer or dryer, No hair dryer, the two small chair outside were broken, the furniture is older and stained. The king bed is firm nothing special, lamps in rooms , no main light, the sheets were stained and had hair on them… it could use an update. However, price was affordable and your outside most the time . Location was great. Hosts were very responsive on questions I had. 3 stars bc the bed has stains and hair, there wasn’t outside seating that was usable, paper towel roll would be nice, and the living room as not cleanly.

Not the best unit I've stayed in at Emerald Isle

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stay at Emerald Isle because of its location, but this time the unit we rented was less than great.

Very Outdated

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo has amazing potential but is sadly extremely outdated. The owner could make this place really nice with a few thousand dollars. Bedrooms need carpet, the entire condo had tile which got sandy because of the beach, which was gross to walk on at night time. Bed was pretty comfortable but the couches felt old and grimey. Fort Walton has become extremely overcrowded and overall just a rough place to stay. I can't say I would recommend anyone to stay anywhere in Ft. Walton

Lots of things need fixed/replaced.

Here is a list of things we came up with during our stay: -Stained towels -Dusty and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time -Comforter on bed was not washed, neither were the pillows. -Sheets had hair on them -Room smelled like rotten meat -Wi-Fi did not work half the time -Dirty floors -Dirty dishes -Only one coffee mug -Coffee pot was filled with old water when we opened it -No shower curtain liner so water got everywhere -Damaged microwave -No ceiling fans -Cigarette butts in bottom of trash can -Lamps damaged/flickering -Light switch in bedroom does not work -Blood stain on couch -TV didn’t work half the time. The service cut in and out every 1 minute. When we first checked into the room, it smelled of rotten meat and was lacking cleanliness. We had to go out and by our own cleaning supplies to clean the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. A lot of the basic things in the room were damaged or did not work as they should, especially the TV, internet, and lights. We paid quite a bit of money for the room and probably won’t be staying in it again. However, the location of the room was convenient.

The condo is located in the great location. Not much scenery, but that’s not what we were there for. It’s about 100 yards from the beach, which is perfect. Could’ve used a few more towels. Could’ve used a couple more garbage bags and it would’ve been nice if the condo would’ve had a blow dryer with it we didn’t have one. We had to go purchase one.

Kinda wish, it was more updated. Just a little..Definitely has potential for it . Washer and Dryer were not in the room ?? I will not be booking again, based on this.

Convenient to beach!

The condo was clean and we loved the fact it was on the bottom floor. It was a few steps to the beach. The are a few negatives but not enough to make us not stay here again. The shower temperatures ranged from scalding to cold when you try to adjust knobs. Also, only 2 coffee cups and one was cracked. I would still stay here again for the convenience to the beach.

Decent stay with a few issues

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were able to check in early which was good. But the cleanliness was definitely lacking! Small greasy finger prints on the bathroom door, crumbs in the silverware trays. The condo is first floor which we loved but the parking was across the lot and we heard of several parking issues while we were there. One condo was very drunk and screamed at everyone that walked by without even asking if it was our vehicle ( it was not) J reported this to the Realtor but the last I heard she had not got a response. Positive things are a lower unit. Good size kitchen. The bed was super comfortable and a decent space for the 3 of us for the week.

Perfect for two!

Great little condo for two people- very close and convenient to the beach and pool and no stairs or elevators! Nicely updated and firm king mattress. The only thing lacking was a mat for inside the tub/shower. Very happy with our decision to stay.

Ground level was great for my pregnant wife.

Not beach or pool front however very nice clean area. Found some roaches but that is to be expected on the ground floor unfortunately. About a 100 yard walk to the beach. The only view available is the fence and parking lot. So if you need a view look elsewhere if you are into easy access and cheap this is the condo for you.

Ground floor beach condo

We had a good stay. The condo was on the ground level with easy access to the pool and beach. There is not a ramp to the pool or beach, the only way to access is by stairs. The bed and couch bed were comfortable. Our room was quiet and we didn’t hear noise from other units. Condo seemed clean, but floor needed a good mopping. Short drive to local restaurants and souvenir shops. Shower/bath water gets very hot, so if you have little ones be careful! Map said there is a washer and dryer, but we never did find it. I assume it was somewhere... not sure. Parking could have been more convenient. There were spots out our front door, but those were for other units. This condo has a spot across the parking lot. Check in and out was fine but having a keypad with code for door would be easier than picking up and dropping off keys. All dishes are glass, which is fine, but with little ones a few plastic dishes would have been helpful. Condo had salt/pepper, dishes, crockpot, some towels, some toilet paper, two soaps for dishwasher, not tons of stuff, but enough to get you started. Thank you!

Ft. Walton Beach stay

Property was clean, if a bit aged. Location was ideal for enjoying pool or beach. Would have preferred a few more amenities like a hair drier and paper towels.

The umbrella needed the accessory that easily digs the hole so we purchased and left it with umbrella for future guests.

Underwhelming

The property was less than clean (stained linens and sand on the floor), which in today's COVID climate was disconcerting. The bare minimum amenities were provided as well, we ran out of toilet paper and trash bags on day 2, there were 2 filters for the coffee maker provided for a 4-night stay. Also, parking instructions were vague and required call to management to identify the correct spot. Won't be back.
