Perfect beach vacation

The condo was as described and located right on the beach. Wonderful patio for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails with a gorgeous view.

BEAUTIFUL WEEK!!!

The property and location couldn't be beat! We love the size of the condo, super clean, beds were great and well stocked for cooking. The only negative I could say was that the outside furniture was plastic, and my preference might have been something sturdier, but the positive was that there were options for laying out and a table. We will be booking this room again!!!

This was an awesome rental. Literally just steps from the beach. Talk about having the beach at your back door, it was. 😊 Having beach service included with the rental was an added bonus. A king bed and two queen beds gave us the space we desired. The king bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had on vacation. My granddaughters had an awesome time. I highly recommend this rental and I would definitely stay here again.

Vacation

This was the best place for my family the money not too high no one bothered you. Everything worked in the room, perfect beach access, and I like that you got two chairs with umbrellas to use during your stay I would definitely stay again.

Terrible condo

Our ground floor condo was shabby and has very worn/broken facilities. The review will not let me review what specific unit it is. The unit wasn't ready when we got there and we weren't notified of readiness as promised. Apparently in July the ocean has dense June grass, so we didn't get the lovely beach with blue water as expected. Another unit that friends had in this building was quite nice though. Okaloosa is a very nice and family friendly area to vacation generally. We went deep sea fishing on the Destin Princess and has a wonderful time!

Wow! Let’s begin, Welcome to the kitchen where u will NOT find a spatula ( I had to buy one) sharp knife (to cut and prepare food) the ice maker is broken with a note inside paper towel holder is broken. Next, the wonderful A/C, which only cools the family room and kitchen. You will NOT get air in either bedroom - we bought 2 box fans to have some sort of reprieve. Now to the master bedroom- bedding so old that it’s coming apart, dresser drawers that no long operate on the track (beware they fall out.) Shower curtains in both bathrooms have mold on them. The bedding in this room is also worn. OH! The carpet in both rooms is nasty, stained and feels gross to walk on. The family room drink coasters are molded. The sofas are dirty and dingy and u feel the springs when sitting on them and the rug underneath them is so old/dirty you see the tile impressions. The lighting is horrible throughout the unit.The dryer has to run 3 cycles before ur clothes are dried. Only found 1 operating smoke detector, the others had no power. The outdoor patio was ok but one high top chair was broke. It should not be rented until it’s renovated from top to bottom. I didn’t call the agent because nothing could be fixed - it’s needs a renovation. We did enjoy the fact that the unit is very sound proof, you don’t here your neighbors, always hot water, pool was clean, great location to the beach, love the beach service, kitchen was large. The advertisement of the unit has old pictures which is misleading. Very unsatisfied.

Extremely Overpriced

Master bedroom was impossible to cool, door to patio in master doesn’t work, a bunch the patio furniture was broken, under the counter ice maker broken with sign inside- do not use, smoke detectors were not working- electricity unplugged and battery backup didn’t work. Realtor did tell me that I paid too much by using VRBO but I didn’t mind until I saw how much repairs and replacements are needed. We had an incredible vacation in spite of the conditions of the condo, thank goodness the weather was beautiful and we spent the majority of our time on the beach and pool! Much needed relaxing and unwinding done! Will most definitely return to Okaloosa Island again asap, fell in love with the beach and the area! 😍

Family vacations

It’s a nice and spacious condo, i didn’t gave them 5 stars because of the sliding door in the master bedroom, you cannot open it like it shows in the picture, it is locked, and the queen sofa in the living room is very very uncomfortable you can feel the bed springs , other than that everything was fine.

Super easy beach access with NO internet and LIMITED cell service

Ground-level location provides direct access to the beach from your patio. Unit is only 2-3 condos away from walkway onto the sand and you can view the water from your patio chairs. We were able to park directly in front of our door most days and the pool was located nearby on the street side of the building in the parking lot out front. Clean and very roomy. The only con was there is no wifi service inside the unit. There are newer smart tvs in the condo but without a signal we weren't able to watch any tv at all and with the limited cell service it was almost impossible to even use our devices to let the kids stream cartoons. Wifi was accessible in the pool area. If you are looking to disconnect and don't mind not having television this is the perfect location. Very convenient for those with mobility issues since it's on the ground level without stairs.

Our stay in Florida

It was wonderful, was rented because my brother was getting married. My sisters family and my family thought it would be a great place to all spend time together close to our brother in Destin.. He caught the Delta variant of COVID. We still kept our reservation, he was still in the hospital when his wedding date came. We were able to video chat with him 3 times because we could not visit. Prior to the video calls, he was given 3 days and they would take him off the ventilator and dialysis machine, with a slim chance he would live. He had a DNR attached in his file. After hearing our voices, he seem to be fighting harder, he had tears coming down his face. He is still fighting. The rental was a great place for us to take our minds off what was going on and spend time with family. Very happy with our stay.

Relaxing

First time renting a unit in first floor and totally enjoyed it. The ease of access to the parking lot, beach and pool was nice. The room still had a greet view double to type sand dunes are not very tall. The room and balcony were clean andarger that most units we’ve previously rented.

Nice place

It had a great location and was very nice. It was a little outdated and if you need internet this is not the place. We were planning to do a little school work with the kids. My husband and I both own small businesses that we planned to spend some time working on. The lack of internet made that hard. We called several times and never could get it to set up. All that being said we very much enjoyed our stay. Perfect location. Great people to work with.

Overall very good and would recommend and stay again.

The property was very clean and this is probably the most important thing for me, the unit was just as the pics show, overall a very nice unit. The unit is slightly dated but still very nice, the patio could use updated, sturdier furniture, but again it worked. I loved beIng able to walk off the patio to go to the beach! The only real issue I had was the WiFi for the unit is the WiFi for the entire complex and basically useless. I try to stay away from WiFi while on vacation but as a business owner I have to occasionally send emails, quotes, literature etc and I could not do that with the complex WiFi. But overall very nice, clean and would stay again.

Late summer Family trip

Our stay at 104 surf dweller was fabulous! The condo was super clean & very spacious. The access to the beach made a world of difference, we brought my elderly mother & she has a hard time walking very far so having a condo so close to the beach really made it easy for her to enjoy the beach as well! We will definitely come back to make more memories!!!

Fabulous Rental

This rental has it all! It has quick, easy access to the beach & quick, easy access from the parking lot! It has a nice view of the ocean & beach. It came with beach chairs on the beach. The rental had good security. Myself and my 3 children in their 20's rented this unit for a long weekend. It was perfect! We all had plenty of space. Kitchen was stocked so we could make meals there or bring them in. Defenately would rent again!

We really enjoyed our stay. This condo was perfect for our family of 6.

This condo was very clean and was perfect size for our family of 6. It was great to have the beach right outside our condo. The kids used the pool daily. The pool area is quite small and needs a little updating compared to the other condo complexes in the area- We were in Fort Walton for a national dance competition so we had several friends staying at many different condo complexes and were able to compare. Overall, our experience was great. This was our first time to the Destin area and we really enjoyed ourselves.
