The Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 18–20, 1863, marked the end of a Union offensive in southeastern Tennessee and northwestern Georgia called the Chickamauga Campaign. The battle was the most significant Union defeat in the Western Theater of the American Civil War and involved the second-highest number of casualties in the war following the Battle of Gettysburg. It was the first major battle of the war that was fought in Georgia.

"Overall stay at this location was fantastic! Property was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with everything we could possibly need for our stay. Bed was very comfortable! Very cozy and inviting home. Location was great, as it was an easy walk to some great restaurants and an easy drive to downtown activities, as well as to Lookout Mountain and other tourist destinations. I would highly recommend staying at this location!!"

"This was a very nice townhome with an awesome location. It is literally less than a 5 minute walk to several places. The train that goes up Lookout Mountain is one. We had breakfast and coffee at Goodman's, lunch at the Purple Daisy, dinner at 1885. Also we had ice cream on two different nights, once at Mr. T's and the next night at Clumpies, both were great. "What a great place to stay! Close to everything and far enough for privacy. I read almost all the reviews before booking and I was not disappointed. The host sent very detailed instructions on how to find the driveway and the stairs were manageable for my family. We loved seeing the lights on the Aquarium from the bedroom window.
