The check in process was easy, and everything was clean and extremely well maintained. The bed was fantastic to sleep on. We loved it so much we booked an extra night! "Thank you for a perfect weekend. House was so well located beside a garden centre and the coastal path - and in a beautiful area. It was ideal for coastal walks. Sun shone most of the weekend which made for lovely views of the sea and for exploring the surrounding villages. The house itself was comfortable and homely and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook in the evenings - local produce was all delicious too. Jeanette couldn’t have been kinder as she offered us an early check in too...

"This is a perfect cottage, only a 5 min drive from St Andrews but so peaceful, with fantastic sea views from the living room and master bedroom, across the links. We loved the large enclosed garden which meant our dogs could exercise safely. Perfect for anyone with mobility issues as everything is on ground level, no steps and open plan living area. It was clean, cosy and modern. We mainly ate at home and the cottage had everything we needed. We had a little difficulty finding it on arrival as...

"Came in from The USA for a trip with members of our golf club. The location to St. Andrews and the golf in the local area was tremendous. Cannot be beat: 20 mins to the old course // other great golf courses within a 5 or 25 minute ride. Great location in town, 10 minute walk to the beach, with really different food options. Must have the fresh baked goods from the Coo-oop!! They were the friendliest trying to guess where my American accent was from!! The house allowed for everyone to do...

"Idyllic is the word - Pittenweem is a lovely little fishing village and a great base for wider travel, and this house is just perfect - really well presented, large enough that you aren't all tripping over each other and very quiet. Sam is a terrific host too."

"First time in Pittenweem. The flat was small but we didn’t need anything bigger. Space had been used carefully and was well furnished. When the wood burning stove got going it made for a cosy experience. Pleasant seafront area nearby and Anstruther is only half a mile or so away. St. Andrews is about 20 minutes by car. Well worth a short visit (three nights for us)."

We prefer the self catering rather than the bed and breakfast type places because we are jet lagged and tend to sleep in. We also don’t eat a large breakfast.
