I booked three nights for work but need to change to 1 night due to bereavement. Called ahead of cancellation time to confirm and was informed to cancel via the app. and the hotel would sort it out on arrival. No manager on shift during my whole stay, just friendly yet inexperienced and unauthorised staff talking to a manager on the phone. Palmed off with no real explanation. My refund was not arranged as promised and given the manager's card to email him! Have received no communication, as should be expected in such a complaint. Advised by staff to book directly in future and not through any app.! The bathroom had not been cleaned sufficiently, with unmentionables left in there, unhygienic. Only decaffeinated coffee in the room. Large bolt on front door slammed into my hand, causing large bruising. Effectively, I paid £126 for one night of this far-below standard accomodation. Extremely disappointed with the service of having no management on site to talk to, very unprofessional. Would certainly not stay again nor recommend.
