"We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Emerald Mermaid. It was a great location for us as my husband’s family had a beach house rented not far away but there wasn’t space for us and this space was perfect for 2 to go hang out with them and then come back to peace and quiet. I wish Emerald Isle was only 6-8 hours away instead of a 17 hr drive because I’d be back every year."

"East of the sun was an older property but was clean with a friendly staff. They took care of things when needed in a timely manner. There was quite a bit of dog poop in the back yard some fresh and some older. It was a short walk to the beach and they did supply a wagon, boogy boards, and chairs. "

"Nice little place. The biggest issue was the washing machine. It sounded like a jet engine taking off. We couldn’t wash clothes and have a relaxing conversation or tv. The coffee pot blew a fuse. The dishwasher door just drops. It hit my shin and bruised me. The shower heads were terrible. We couldn’t wait to get home to our own showers. Having said all of that, the bed was good. "First floor, easy to navigate to and from. Excellent hosts. Friendly and helpful and wanted feedback. This is a gem 💎 hiding in Emerald Isle. Everything we needed was there. Clean, efficient layout.
