"My family of four and our close friends (also a family of four) stayed at this house over a long weekend trip to Acadia. While it is about 50 minutes from Bar Harbor, it's a shorter trip to the Schoodic Pennisula part of the park, and a lovely drive. The owners were very responsive and helpful. We had plans to visit some of the many preserve walks that are conveniently located nearby, however the house, beach and location itself was so charming we decided to stay in and enjoy it instead.
