"My husband and I had such an incredible time in this beautiful cottage! We wished we’d stayed longer and could explore more locally! The house itself was absolutely stunning, and conversations with Henrietta were so lovely and personable. We were absolutely delighted when we walked in and discovered all the lovely nuances and details. Highly recommend!!"

"Lovely accommodations. Peaceful and very quiet. Remote yet easily accessible to the train for 25 minute day trips to Edinburgh with free parking at the station. Communications prior to arrival were promptly responded. All amenities were as described in the VRBO descriptions. We had a thoroughly wonderful stay and would book here again in the future."

"Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh."

"A beautiful property that was perfect for our needs. There were five adults and four children in our group and it catered, and was accessible, for all. Supermarkets are close, the views are fantastic, and the house itself was clean and tidy. We had to switch the timer off on the heating as it was very cold with it on but the house warmed up very quickly and it was really warm after a while. We would absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone."

"Fantastic property with everything you'd need, or thought you didn't need.... great hosts who were eager to make sure we'd settled in and had everything we needed or any help with suggestions for sight seeing (although great information book supplied). We were new to the area but found the location perfect as a base for exploring near and far. over a few days..plenty to do on your doorstep with shops and eateries with-in Melrose if you don't fancy cooking. Will certainly be returning later in...

"The cabin was clean, new, cozy and relaxing. The shower water pressure was great and the heating came in handy. Parking spot is right outside the cabin. Waking up to a spectacular, unobstructed view with the sound of birds chirping outside was iciing on the cake. "
