"My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Parkgate Hotel. The surrounding area is close to everything and vibrant with student life on the weekends, so coming home to the Parkgate is such a haven after experiencing all that (excellent) chaos. The hotel was perfect: the bar was well-tended and cozy (and beautiful), the lobby was grandiose, the staff was attentive and kind, and the rooms pleasant and clean. We couldn't want for more. "Sleeping rooms are ok but the property overall makes a worn, in some places very worn impression. In some places the paint is flaking off the walls. The yard is a wilderness with rubbish and cigarette buds galore - really disgusting. In terms of value for money this is by far the worst ranking place on this trip. We had much better for a quarter of the price. "
