Renovated…New Management…Spectacular in both setting and design, this contemporary craftsman-style home perfectly captures the sunrise and sunset, ocean views, and comfort of shallow calm waters. Situated in the gated community, 43-acre resort in the heart of Destin, amenities available at Sandpiper Cove including a marina, 5 pools, 3 hot tubs, 6 tennis courts, a executive 9-hole golf course and 2 onsite restaurants. You'll find white-water ocean views in every room, and glass doors that open onto the ocean-facing decks. There are three flights of stairs to go up to condo.

If you have a reservation, request updated pics! Positive:The location is great and the view is spectacular. Sandpiper Cove is older but has a lot to offer & overall is well maintained. The unit accommodated our group of 7 comfortably. Negative: The AC did not work upon arrival when we called in the morning the owner was responsive and it was fixed. However, we did go 1 full day without AC and had to spend our vacation time waiting at the unit for this to be fixed. While waiting we were made aware that this was a known issue and that a service provider was at the unit the day before but the owner did not fix it and when I reached out their response was, “What happened to it?” The pictures don’t accurately depict the condition of the property & was not what I thought I was going to get.This unit is in need of serious TLC and updating. Master Bedroom 1 did not have working lights in the sink area, the sink also did not drain properly nor did the shower. My husband used a plunger to get it to drain. There was also no dresser to put clothes away and many of the closets are filled with junk. The kitchen floor is missing some of the wood flooring in front of the stove which is a trip hazard and looks really bad. I shared many concerns & sent pictures along with video to the owner. They responded by complaining about cost of upkeep & blamed renters. No remorse for their misleading advertising. They offered a free night for the next stay but no discount for the quality of this stay

The reason to stay here is for the view--it can't be beat. The condo needs some TLC--electrical outlets need attention (exposed wires, lights flicker and many dimmers don't work properly), the floor is missing a couple of "planks" in the kitchen, and the pots and pans need replaced. Bring your own coffee filters/coffee, shampoo and soap, trash bags, paper towels, and beach towels. I think that the owners need to enact some kind of accountability for whoever cleans for them--maybe pictures or physical checks. There was a sock under the bed and the floors were gritty and felt very dirty, like they needed to be mopped a few times. But the view is unparalleled and the sun shines all day on the deck! Sunrise and sunset views both!

We had a wonderful time here... The balcony is big, the condo is big! It could use some updating but it was still nice... The only thing that was hard on me and my husband was the 4 flights of stairs you have to climb... We are not in the best of shape and if was hard going up and down then. The host was always nice and got back to me in a timely manner if I ask something.

We have been going to Destin for over 45 years (husband even longer) and have ridden by Sandpiper Cove on HWY 98 many times. We chose this condo because it is directly on the beach and also pet friendly. The huge balcony was the best part. We enjoyed walking out on it every day and seeing the beach and water. Also, very private area. The condo has lots of room and Check-in was convenient. For these reasons, we gave 5 Stars. However, we were unaware of there being 3 flights of steps to have to climb to get inside the unit. This is not good when having to carry luggage, groceries, etc. inside. I do not have very good balance and had to take our little dog outside several times a day to use the bathroom and walk around. Had to take it slow and stop several times to get my balance going down the steps. Also, there are a good bit of sand spurs on the property. We had to pull them out of our flops and try to keep our little dog out of them. Condo was nice inside but has areas in the kitchen where pieces of the flooring are missing; the handle at the faucet would not stay on; we didn't use the stove because we couldn't find an exhaust fan. The sliding doors at the 2 bedrooms toward the end of the balcony would not lock. My husband is a retired policeman, and he was not comfortable with no door locks. We sent the owner a video of this for Maintenance, per her request, but no one ever came. The main 'negative' for us were the 3 flights of steps but loved the private, huge balcony.

We get there and the beach service said NO tents, so added expense for us to rent chairs and umbrella’s EVERY day. Host didn’t really care Neither ice maker was usable one was dirty I would read all reviews before booking. I should have (my fault). The roaches alone would have deterred us

Picture perfect view with plenty of space. We could let the kids play on the beach while we watched them from the balcony. Very clean. Has a water hydrant outside for washing sand off. The owner took great care of us during our stay. Would recommend.

False advertising, not as it states or shows!

What you get for 500 a night is a view and nothing more! Breakdown of our issues:NO Smoke Detectors present! Just WOW!!! We notified the HOA as well.Standard patio chairs all broken (unusable), no table for chairs to sit around either (like in photo).All planters are filled with cigarette butts and the plants are pretty much dead.Fridge is duct taped, flooring has gaps, ice maker in bar doesn't work, no turnplate in the micro, 1st master faucet runs, no light switch at the vanity, broken chair in 2nd bedroom, unit below was under construction and they started working before 8am, couldn't hook to internet, no Menton of 3 flights of stairs, Electrical issues, 3rd bedroom shower has windows that are visible into the shower from outside (no privacy glass), we used foil to cover the windows, kitchen faucet is broken. No grill, photos are not what this place is! No mattress pads on the beds, just a sheet and the beddings are not pretty as the photos. Furniture is stained. "Living area" photo is now a bedroom. The only update to the property is the bathrooms, sort of. Beds in bedrooms are as follows: 1st King, 2nd Queen/Full, 3rd King and 4th Full/queen.We reached out to host Rachel on Saturday and never heard back from her at all during out stay. Basically, we got had and the owner and host took it to the bank! Joke on us!

Can’t beat the view

This house by no means is perfect. Some of the outdoor furniture needs replacing. The floors need repairing in several areas. The listing needs to be updated for accuracy such as there is no grill like we hoped and the wifi was wrong. The host responded quickly though, and we also had an AC issue that they got fixed quickly. The location and the view can’t be beat though! From the deck you can see it all! We would definitely stay here again!

This is a property with perfect location--one of the best on the beach. However, too many things need tending to, too many things broken or not working or need to be cleaned. Too many to list. The photos show a gas grill which indicates the property has this available. Misleading. The owners need to make sure the property managers are doing their job. They are not.

Great place!

Awesome location! The pictures do not do this place justice. Newer floors and furniture than the photos in the listing. Our favorite part was the giant balcony/porch overlooking the beach. We had two families of 4 and tons of space. Would definitely recommend and book again!

Black mold. No indoor pool as listing states. Pet fur and drool everywhere. Roaches. Lots of things didn't work and what did work was dirty. The location was the ONLY thing this property has to offer. I could keep going but you get the point.

The property was filthy upon arrival

The property was so dirty, bugs in drawers, bedding appeared unclean with hair on it, the kitchen was unsanitary. We ended up having to find another place last minute to accommodate our family. It was so stressful. I do NOT recommend renting this property.

Dirty place with a beautiful view

This place has a beautiful view, but that’s pretty much it. The day of arrival I messaged the owner (Rachel) to get instructions on how to do the check-in and she replied hours later. The instructions were pretty clear so the check in wasn’t complicated. I knew there were a lot of stairs because of the reviews, but she never informed us. We arrived at the place and we noticed it was very dirty. Whoever stayed before us didn’t take out the trash in the kitchen (nasty) and there were ants everywhere!!! Even on the beds. I notified the owner of this issue and she said they are working on it. I strongly feel that with everything going on (COVID) and the fact that you have to pay a high cleaning fee the place should be spotless. Also, if you are trying to communicate with the owner, good luck! She takes hours to reply back. We asked for a late checkout and she said there were people coming in the same day we were leaving and they had asked for an early check-in so she was going to let me know but she never did. This makes me wonder when do they even clean the condo if they got people coming in and out during the same day (no cleaning company had shown up when we left) Overall we enjoyed our stay, after we finished cleaning everything the day we arrived.

Perfect location & lots of room

We were so happy with this lovely place. It is right on the beach with a 2 minute walk to the water. You can sit on the beach or enjoy amazing views, ocean breezes, and the sound of waves right on the spacious deck with multiple seating areas for family to spread out. The inside is just as spacious with 4 great bedrooms, 2 very nice areas to hang out in groups, and a big kitchen with an amazing picture window with beach view. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and various cookware. I loved the amount and variety of seating as we had a big family of 8 adults and a toddler. All the furniture, including beds, was comfy. There was a surprise of a closet with numerous toys, boogie boards, and chairs. The stairs were a surprise (2 flights with a platform in the middle) but the view was well worth it and we grew used to them quickly. There is a wonderful perk at the bottom of the stairs—a hose to clean the sand off you and all your stuff. Location is so convenient to walk or drive to multiple restaurants. I had one of the best meals I’ve ever had and THE BEST key lime pie ever at the restaurant in the resort—Louisiana Lagniappe!! Thank you Rachel for a great home away from home and great communication! We will be back!

Views from the balcony were amazing, and beach access was excellent. The condo was dirty though, and in need of some work. Insect traps were all over the property and there was an ant problem…also the master bathroom shower had a drainage problem. Check in was a problem

Beautiful View of the Beach

Stayed here for a week with my family of 7. This is a very spacious condo with one of the most beautiful views of Destin. I loved the Balcony! Owners were very responsive to any questions that we had.

Location is everything

The house was beautiful and in a great location, perfect for a large family. Rachel is very responsive. We were not aware of all the stairs, this should be in the listing. We did have an issue checking in, the owner had not communicated to guard shack our arrival. It was cleared up rather quickly. The house was not cleaned very well at all. This seemed to be an ongoing issue because some of the unclean areas had build-up. Owner was notified and contacted cleaning company. They came to ask if there was anything we wanted cleaned right then and also had me send pictures of the issues. The owner said they were changing cleaning companies, I hope this is true. As well as working on making the check in process smoother. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves, my grandparents dealt with the stairs. The cleanliness should never be an issue, especially when the renter pays so much for cleaning. If it was actually clean, it wouldn't sting as bad!
