    The Space:

    This fine Emerald Towers unit has a cozy coastal design. You will surely enjoy the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Mexico as well as a perfect view of the pool area from a private second floor balcony. The kitchen is equipped with full size upgraded appliances as well as everything needed to make home cooked meals. The living room is well appointed with recently upgraded living room furniture including a sofa sleeper, matching loveseat, nice end and coffee tables, a flat screen TV, and a DVD player. There is plenty of dining seating with table for four as well as bar stools. The master bedroom offers a comfortable retreat from the beach with a nice quality king bed, designer bedding, a flat screen TV, a DVD, and access to the Gulf front balcony. The guest bedroom features a cozy Queen bed, a flat screen TV, and a DVD player. Also enjoy a CD stereo system and a private washer and dryer.

Overall we wouldn’t stay in this particular unit again. The property overall was fine, but the unit had very dirty carpet that badly need replacing and the fact that the oven needs to open first to sort of be able to open (not even full) the dishwasher was somewhat inconvenient. The worst is that it was not clear the floor of the unit until we arrived. It’s on second floor directly above the pool. So close you feel little privacy and like you could just chat w people on patio and in pool right in front of you. If that isn’t bothersome it’s probably not a dealbreaker but for us, we wouldn’t book again.

We had many problems with the condo. Kitchen light was hanging, dirty cloth hanging on shower head, bathroom tissue holder fell off the wall, dishwasher did not work at all. Had to open oven door to even open the dishwasher door. The carpet was filthy. Some of the problems were addressed. However, the dirty cloth stayed and we had to wash dishes all week. Needed bulb for bedroom lamp. We did take one from living area lamp. There was one cooker and one fry pan, and no baking sheet. Never saw a manager. Would not recommend at all. We left early. I feel like I was ripped off with the amount I paid. Never again!!!

Unit is very poorly kept. Many broken things throughout (drawer in kitchen, door on dresser, broken lampshade) Can’t open the dishwasher because the door hits the oven. Carpet in master bedroom has big ripples in it and is filthy. Couch is dirty and stained, living rug needs cleaning. Patio door lock has been poorly fixed and difficult to lock. This is the worst rental I have ever stayed. Checkin was difficult as they failed to give us the gate code, called the number they gave us and were on hold for over 15 minutes until another resident gave us the code. Would not rent from Avari Management again. No coffee or coffee filters available. Never had this occur before.

We recently stayed at this unit at Emerald Towers in Destin. The Emerald Towers property itself is beautiful, very well maintained, and has excellent access to the white sand beach. The pool area was also very nice, and we would consider staying at the property again in a different unit.Unfortunately, this particular condo did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, we were not provided the gate code, and another guest had to help us enter the property. We later called the management number because the parking passes referenced in the check-in instructions were missing, and the gate code we were given still did not work.The unit itself appeared overdue for deep cleaning and general maintenance. The carpets were very worn and stained, tile grout throughout the condo was heavily discolored, and our socks were noticeably dirty after walking around the unit the first evening. We ended up wearing shoes inside for the remainder of the stay. There were also several maintenance concerns, including broken doors, shower heads that sprayed in multiple directions, and very old, firm mattresses.Overall, the location and property amenities were excellent, but the condition and cleanliness of this unit would keep us from booking it again.
