"Very nice stay in the nature. Host are very kind. Breakfast is good enjoying a beautiful view on the forest with Tucans and other birds. Tucan villa is close to the road (not a main one) so can be a bit noisy in the evening. But we enjoyed our stay!"

"We especially enjoyed waking to the sounds of so many tropical birds. The house is artfully decorated, the views are wonderful, the surrounding gardens are excellent. So great to be out in the country away from the crowds of La Fortuna but still close to everything. Highly recommended"

"Amazing place! It is a little outside the town with an amazing view of the volcano. The property was so relaxing with a pool and shaded areas to hang out. So many birds and a beautiful garden! The actual room was good for sleeping and making simple meals but we spent most of our time outdoors on the property. Would stay again!"

"The location was perfect for seeing Rio Celeste and other rainforest tours. Everyone was really friendly and the food was great. Communication was somewhat interesting because I hadn’t brushed up on my Spanish enough but we made it work! The bed wasn’t super comfortable, shower didn’t get very hot and the walls weren’t exactly soundproof but for the price it was still a good value. I’d definitely stay here again!"

"If you value privacy and respect this is NOT the place for you. The Good: our family thoroughly enjoyed the Arenal area. Los Lagos was great for kids and adults. Hot springs,water slides and lunch, all for 100 bucks US. It’s a must visit. The area is gorgeous, if you have an extra couple of days it’s a great way to end your trip before flying home.The bad: This is ALL true.
