Our room was NOTHING like the pictures posted. I believe some rooms are owned by private people - and those rooms are better than the ones owned by hotel. Everything was very outdated - there was no hammocks, putting green, like the pictures reflected. If all other hotels were not fully booked, we would have changed hotels. However, staff were great, friendly and responsive.

We are so sorry you feel this way! The Hawaiian Inn is a historic staple in Daytona Beach. It has its wear, but the atmosphere and people are great!

If the room didn’t have the view it did we would have changed hotels . The bed looked older than me and was not comfortable, and nothing had been updated in a very long time a lot of wasted potential

Elevator feels like its going to drop, room wasnt completely cleaned when i checked in. Food still on counters and all, hallways were dirty and not upkeep.

No room cleaning place had rust everywhere broken elevators, unclean and dirty.

This place needs alot of updating its building/rooms etc but other than that i didnt have a bad experience with staff like previous reviews or feel unsafe. Beautiful view from balcony to beach area and pool. Bar staff was super sweet but could use more help. Overall i enjoyed my stay.

Extremely dissatisfied. This property advertises as having two pools, a gift shop, mini golf, Hawaiian luau show all on property. We could only find the outdoor pool and it was out of order. The Hawaiian show? Out of order. Gift shop? Closed and empty. Mini golf on site? Nowhere to be found. The elevator only worked half the time to get to our room on the fifth floor. The room itself also was not as advertised as there was no coffeemaker (and when we asked we were told ‘they’re all broken, we can’t get that for you’). The shower head holder was broken and covered up so when one of us was showering, the handheld head fell and hit us in the back of the head. Pictures on the walls were covering up holes in the walls and doors. Our room door itself didn’t latch so if you didn’t have it deadbolted, it would just open up if you opened the balcony door. The stove in the room didn’t work, neither did the hairdryer provided in room. The toilet had to be flushed three times to get anything at all to go down fully. Anytime you approached the front desk to ask about anything, you just get stared at blankly with literally no response. We had to go down multiple times as even though we were clear on reservation there was five of us in a room that sleeps 6, they only gave us three towels and bed linens for the beds. We had to ask everyday for clean linens as there is no daily housekeeping, and we couldn’t get pillows for the sleeper sofa or flat sheets.

the problem was we went when they were renovating the tiki bar and pool. i do think when they’re done it’ll be a fabulous upgrade! it’s the inconvenience of one exit and entrance so large building lots of walking! other than that it was great NO NO BUGS that was a plus considering the location

The room was not clean, air did not work and we checked out 2 days early and only received 1 night refund

Front deck staff, especially Selena, were very nice It is an older place and still recovering from the Hurricanes 2 years ago as is most of Daytona beach The view from my balcony was great especially at sunrise I would definitely stay there again

Can’t really rate the property itself because everything is being worked on the pools and the grounds. Every condo is individually owned or room. The sheets, however, were dingy and dirty, looking even though they gave them to me at the desk clean had holes in them like cigarette burns definitely needs a lot of updating, the staff, however, is incredible

I have seen this hotel packed in the summer months and always thought wow, this must be a great hotel. Well, that couldn't be further from the truth. The rooms need a definite upgrade, the furniture is old and falling apart, our 2 queen beds were on wheels and when you attempted to sit against the headboard the bed would roll away, god forbid you roll over at night the bed literally rolled with my movements. The bathroom was gross, the shower walls has mildew in the grout and a strange gritty texture in the tub. The hallways are scary and painted in 70's maze yellow. You couldnt get to the beach without walking out front and all the way around the building.In the middle of the night my daughter and I were awaken twice due to some loud buzzing noise in the room, possibly the AC but not sure. The rooms safe did not work either Oceanfrontview 2nd floor, well that was amazing of course, the balcony was OK, the chairs were almost too short to see over the railing. It was very quiet, we didn't hear anyone next door, but had to endure the smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke blowing into our balcony from somewhere near us which i cannot stand. The front desk staff either act dumb or truly are and constantly on their phones. Upon checking out i asked why our beds had wheels on them and the lady laughed and had no clue what i was talking about until i showed her a picture. Even then she said she didnt know. In my honest opinion I would not recommend this hotel.

Has potential.. BUT DISAPPOINTING.. didn't expect All facilities to be closed. NO POOLS let alone heated as listed and came for. and No heat in rooms, no hot water!. Was freezing! No TV channels worked.. (inside room was nice) rest of resort is run down not kept up. Staff seemed less helpful & to have attitude about not being directly booked thru them instead of the app. Wouldn't go back or went unless they fixed everything THEN it has potential. Untill then not recommended

Rented room for 6. The beds were horrible completely wore in the centers of the mattress. No hot water for showers. 2 bath towels 2 hand towels, when we asked for more towels we had to return the 4 dirty ones first.Tiki bar was never opened. All pools are closed.

This property was very dirty and reeked of Marijuana! We only stayed the first night because it was late & we couldn't book a room somewhere else until the next day. We checked out early in the morning and booked at a much nicer place through Expedia that second night.

The worst experience. The staff in charge of the night shift was very rude to me and my mom. We arrived at 11:30 pm to check in and we had to wait more than 20 minutes because the boy WAS SLEEPING IN HIS WORK TIME when I had called early warning that we would be a little late because of the traffic. It gave us the noisiest room with a bad musty smell, the air filter was a sack. As if that room never went through a deep cleaning. We ended up with allergies. The only thing that was worth it was the comfort of the bed. The rest is a disaster.

Wonderful
I have been staying at this particular hotel for 26 years! This hotel is very family friendly with comfortable rooms, a fun list of amenities and a great location with access to everything! Although on this particular stay, the pools and sundeck area were still undergoing repairs from alot of hurricane damage, i still enjoyed my stay and would highly recommended this hotel. The management and staff are wonderful and have always treated my family like family. There are literally a 1000 hotel choices on this beach, but this is ALWAYS my go to hotel!

Stay away!
This place completely sucks! Not as advertised at all! No house keeping, no pool, no hot tub, no coffee, no shampoo, no clean towels, and the towels are old and hard, filthy bedspread, no blankets and never changed the sheets or towels. Tv was horrible, saw cockroaches in the kitchen, elevator was like a freight elevator and filthy! Phone doesn’t work! Air conditioner was loud and smelly! Whole experience was terrible, after a couple days finally had time to change hotels and couldn’t wait to get out of there! We ended up going to a very very nice place and it was cheaper than this hell hole!
