I recently stayed at a Marriott and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. From the moment we checked in, the service felt rude and unwelcoming. The front desk staff seemed irritated when we asked basic questions about our reservation and didn’t make much effort to be helpful.
One of the biggest issues was the breakfast situation. When we booked the room through Expedia, it appeared that breakfast was included. However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that breakfast was not included and that we would have to pay extra if we wanted it. The staff didn’t try to clarify the confusion or offer any solution, which was frustrating after relying on what was shown during booking.
Another surprise was being charged extra for a third person in the room. This was never clearly mentioned when we made the reservation on Expedia, so it felt like an unexpected add-on once we were already at the hotel.
Overall, between the rude service, the confusion about breakfast, and the unexpected extra charge for a third guest, the stay was disappointing. I expected a much better experience from a Marriott property.
