Apparently the spa hasn't been working for a year (which it says on hotels.com with very small letters), the big pool was already closed (no where were there any information about this) and because of the renovation of the spa the fitness center was covered in dust.
On the positive side the rooms are nice and spacious, the staff helpful and the breakfast good."

Eneste anke-punkt jeg har (ud over det faktum at det er få i Cadiz der taler andet end spansk, incl hotel personale) er at deres gratis WiFi har meget dårlig dækning. Virkede kun 50% af tiden på værrelset, og ved pool og restaurant var der ingen dækning! Bare ikke godt nok i 2016!

"Occidental is located a few km from the old center of Cadiz but very close to a fine beach. There are good bus connections to the center. Rooms are fine and breakfast excellent. Parking is hard to find around the hotel and in Cadiz in general. Parking garage is available at12 € per day. Restaurants and bars are available along the beach promenade. "

Forholdene er også rigtig gode og der er stille og roligt i de sene nattetimer på trods af at hotellet ligger lige ud til torvet og en stor boulevard ved havnen.
Beliggenheden er også god, få meter fra torvet og en af de mange smukke handelsgader og får hundrede meter fra den store katedral. Desuden er der heller ikke langt til stranden derfra, hvis man er...

The lounge area of the hotel with lockers was very convenient and comfortable.
The pool area has no shade, which would have made it more welcoming to me, but the fact that there was a pool was wonderful. Housekeeping did a good job.
The highlight was the service. The people working at the front desk were amazing and so helpful. I would finitely stay...

Skal man til den gamle del af Cadiz vil jeg anbefale at tage en taxa - prisen er ca. 50-75,-. Hvis det blæser er den gamle del af Cadiz en død sild fordi ingen går udenfor. Vi havde ca- 40 graders varme og fandt blæsten skøn. "
