"We had the best time at Marisa's place. It was a charming and comfortable home, and, for our purposes, was an excellent location as we were on a bit of a tour to visit a few different towns where famous American authors lived. Near the house, we found good food -- Prairie Whale and Xicohtencatl Restaurant were our faves -- and my favorite dirty Chai ever at Cafe Holli. We also enjoyed Get Lit Bookstore and Wine Bar. "We stayed at Sabrina's cottage for a family gathering. The kitchen is very well stocked, which made it easy and enjoyable for us to cook meals together. Comfortable beds and a very quiet street made for excellent sleep. The layout is open and airy, giving the feeling of plenty of space for everyone. Every part of the house was immaculate. We had only one quick question for Sabrina during our stay and she answered it quickly. Overall, a wonderful experience!!"

"We had coordinated an early check-in, but when we arrived, the house hadn’t been cleaned yet which was a miscommunication. I reached out to Catherine and she promptly responded and got the cleaners RIGHT over. The house was spotless and in wonderful condition for the rest of our stay, and it was dealt with very quickly and wonderfully. Would definitely stay again. The house was great for our girls trip. Also the beds are very comfortable!! "

"We do not drop poor reviews lightly. We rented a two unit house for 5 nights for 3,000. Out confirmation said we would have the place to ourselves. Instead, we had noisy construction crews on site, without any warning. When we complained and specifically asked that no one be on site for the remainder of our stay, the host agreed. "Emily’s place was great. Very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Lots of towels and supplies in the kitchen .It was the perfect location as you could walk to town and the lake. We never had to use our car all weekend. Emily was also incredibly responsive. We had a question at check in and she immediately answered our call.
