Charming two-story apartment with terrace just steps from the Duomo in the beautiful city of Catania.

The apartment is located on the third floor of a building without elevator. The elegantly furnished living area is an open space with a double sofa bed, dining table, television, and a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, kettle, and espresso machine. The sleeping area includes two double bedrooms: one on the main floor with a queen-size bed, and another on the second floor with a sofa bed. The bedroom on the second floor leads to a terrace furnished with a dining table. Two bathrooms with showers complete the layout.

Guests will enjoy comforts such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and heat pump heating.

The city of Catania boasts a stunning historic center, protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Its architectural wonders, lively street markets, the wild beauty of Mount Etna, and the crystal-clear sea along the coast will captivate you. The Duomo of Sant’Agata (the city's patron saint), the Bellini Theater, the popular markets, Via Etnea, the splendid Monastery of the Benedictines (home to the Department of Humanities of the University), and Mount Etna are just a few of the marvels this city has to offer. Of course, it’s impossible to overlook the culinary delights of Catanese tradition, such as arancini (yes, they are called in the masculine here!), iris (fried or baked filled pastries), olivette di Sant’Agata, and brioche with granita. Be sure to try them all! For lovers of grilled horse meat, a symbol of Catanese gastronomy, a must-visit is Via del Plebiscito, a street in the historic center filled with the unmistakable aroma of constantly burning grills. Another unmissable destination just outside Catania is the coast, particularly the Gulf of Acitrezza, a charming location whose sea stacks were chosen by Giovanni Verga as the setting for his most famous novel, I Malavoglia.

Catania Fontanarossa Airport is easily reachable within a 30-minute drive, while Catania Centrale Station is just over 2 km away.

Death Trap...!!

This was supposed to be a 1 bedroom apartment! The bedroom was locked off for the entire stay which meant that we were sleeping in a living room with absolutely nowhere to put your clothes! We literally lived for 11days with our clothes on the floor, still in their suitcases....The air conditioning in that room was not working and despite being reported on the first day, was not repaired for our whole stay!We had endless issues with access to the building and at one point, we had no water for 12 hours!Having trudged up to the office of Wonderful Italy ( host )yet again , we were informed of the convoluted measures that were required to get our water back on again and told that this regularly happens. Why on earth are the instructions not given in the information about the apartment?The entire place was grubby and had very little in the way of useful amenities, such a shame, it could be lovely, with just a little bit of thought......To top it all, the power went out on the whole building just as we were leaving, having dragged our luggage down from the 3rd floor because the lift wasn't working, we then couldn't get out of the building because the only way out was by pressing a buzzer that wasn't working!We were trapped and having shouted for help, we were lucky that somebody went into the building next door to reset the electrics!!!This apartment is not fit to stay in safely and people should be very aware that you do so at great personal risk!If there was a fire.....

The property is in a perfect location in the centre of the Duomo tourist area and close to excellent restaurants and bars. It is a very substantial property with large rooms and a good terrace to sit at night and watch the swifts dartingg around the skies. There are three TVs and one of them is huge but we didn't use any as there was enough to do in the surrounding areas to keep us occupied. Overall the accommodation was clean although we had to sweep around the balcony to remove a couple of cigarette buts. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook and a good coffee machine. The air con was not working in two of the rooms but this was fixed by the property management company after we reported it. All in all, this was a very good place to stay in Catania and served us well
