The Space:

This is California dreaming!   The Capitola Cliff House has views that never stop impressing, and offers everything you need for your home away from home, complete with radiant floor heating, gas fireplace, smart TV with multi option streaming, high-speed Internet, integrated surround sound music system, decks on three levels with outdoor tables and chairs, gas barbeque, and newly remodeled kitchen with open dining and living areas.  Recreation abounds from this stellar location where you can walk the beach, surf the waves, paddle until your heart is content, enjoy the Village festivals and events without the worries of parking a vehicle.  Two upstairs bedrooms feature queen sized beds - 4 adults is perfect for this home, but will consider 6 persons maximum on a case-by-case basis.  Parking for 2 vehicles maximum.

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful beach house! The home was clean, decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The ocean views were absolutely breathtaking, and we loved waking up to the sound of the waves each morning. The location was perfect — quiet, yet close to great restaurants and shops

Views were gorgeous. Setting was peaceful and serene. Beach house was clean with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. great location-walking distance from shops and restaurants. Parking for 2 small vehicles was ideal since parking would cost at least 60/day. I would highly recommend this beach house

Location, location, location! Not only was this a perfect little home with wonderful decor, but its location couldn't have been better. We reserved the home for a short girl's weekend and it was the best weekend. The beach house couldn't be cuter, was well equipped, clean and so easy to check in and check out. We'll be back - for longer this time!

House was in pristine condition and amazingly located. So convenient to town and easy to get to the beach. The stairway above the house is out of order, but the walk down to the beach is very quick and pleasant.Beautiful rooms. One large master sized room with a couple of small patios, one with furniture. Another medium size bedroom and a third small bedroom all with very nice beds.Kitchen was lovely and the layout allowed us to be connected to the ocean pretty much all the time. Would rent this place again and spend more time hanging around the house. We were busy around nearby towns and didn’t get to just relax which this place is so good for.

Best beach house ever

The place was amazing!!! The views were awesome, they have any and all the amenities you can think of, the location is perfect, the place was very clean and well kept, and the decor was great. Can’t wait to stay here again!

A gem of a property

Capitola Cliff House is a charming home, nestled right on the shore, just a short distance to the pier. The home is well appointed, clean and has amazing outdoor spaces to enjoy the bay and watch the seals and birds. There are two balconies, one off of the master and one off of the great room. In addition, there is a lovely spot down below with a fire pit and lounge chairs which is perfect for a glass of wine under the stars. You are also right in town so unless you want to drive, everything is just a short walk away. Definitely recommend a visit.

The views are amazing. A must see. Every room in the house has it's own thermostat. Slept great in the beds. They were super comfortable. High class house. Can't say enough great things about it.

Amazing Capitola Cliff House

This was our second time staying here and enjoyed it just as much. Beautiful views and great proximity to everything. House is well appointed for cooking. One of our favorite VRBO properties.

This place is 5 Star. House, Amenities, Location, Rental Staff, Etc. We own multiple houses and know what we want when we're away from home. This place had it all. Well worth the money. Thank you for a fantastic weekend.

The house is spectacular!! However....

The house is truly spectacular! Amazing views, clean, incredible location. The house/owners deserve a 5 star review! However, the house is managed by a property management company (there will be some extra fees if you book) and we had an issue which was never addressed. We had 5 adults and I had emailed the company upon booking and asked if there was a door on the office/futon room. A simple reply "yes, there is". Upon arriving - no, there isn't. We immediately went to the hardware store & purchased a curtain rod & curtain. Not ideal, but somewhat a solution for needed privacy. I texted the PM Company - no reply. Upon leaving I texted them that I had left the rod & curtain in the garage for future renters - no reply. After our stay I emailed them and explained that I would rather not give less than a 5 star review for the house (which is what it deserved), but that I would have really appreciated a response, a reimbursement, or some acknowledgment of their error. No reply. And that was over a week ago. At this point I see no other action than to leave a less than perfect review. The house, though, is perfect.

Perfect house in the perfect location

We stayed in the Capitola Cliff House for the Wharf to Wharf weekend 2023. It is in the perfect location, just steps away from the finish line of the race. The house is within a short walking distance of Capitola. So shopping and dining and Capitola Beach are within just a few blocks. The house itself is beautiful. The pics on VRBO don't do it justice. A very clean and stylish house. Obviously newly remodeled, everything felt new! There's a breathtaking 180 view of Capitola Beach, the pier, and the ocean, with the house having 3 separate decks to fully enjoy the view. Seriously gorgeous. Fantastic communication with the property management. Everything was as promised and ready when we arrived, and very easy clean up on departure day (especially compared to most VRBOs these days!). Highly recommend this property!

Fantastic Home

This home is absolutely amazing. The view is perfect and we always love Capitola. Very clean and organized with everything you would ever need. Beds are very comfortable which is always a plus. The owner is wonderful and has done a beautiful job with upgrades and decorating. Can’t wait to plan another trip again.

This house has everything. Beautiful views, a kitchen with everything you could need, thick towels. Comfortable beds, beach chairs, beach towels and blankets for sitting outside. Quick walk to Capitola. Can’t wait until we are able to return. Will miss watching the sea lions every morning.

Lovely home, clean, modern. Excellent views. Detailed instructions to gain entry to home sent a day before stay. Easy access to beach, walking distance to shops, restaurants. Home has necessities for at home cooking, pots, pans etc for comfortable stay even vase for store bought flowers. Minor issue with outside access pad which we communicated with property management and received immediate text response and they sent someone to fix within a couple of hours. Enjoyed the finer details of the house. Over all, our group had an wonderful stay.

summer vacation home stay

The property itself lived up to its description. It is within close proximity to the beach, and a very easy walk to downtown with all the shops and restaurants. We were disappointed however , when it came time to relax and have drinks that the ice maker was broken . The refrigerator also had a distinct fish odor .When I contacted the property management company and alerted them to the problem and asked for a bag of ice they responded that they were aware that the ice maker was broken and that a part had been ordered and sorry for the inconvenience. They offered to bring another box of baking soda for the fish odor but no ice or ice trays. There was a box of baking soda already in the refrigerator so another box was unnecessary. For the amount of money we paid to stay at this property you would think they could have brought us or had in the freezer a bag ice or a ice tray since they were already aware that the problem existed before we even arrived.. We had to take time out of our vacation to locate a store to pick up ice . Their response was disappointing and did not solve our ice problem. Overall the property was in good shape although the outside deck /glass area off the living room could use some cleaning since the overhead sea gulls have made their mark on it and Various spider webs needed to be cleaned up . The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were relatively new . I was surprised there were little or no wrap or foil, plastic zip lock bags or even garbage bags available . None were in the kitchen or in the garage storage area as listed. If these negative things that happened would have been different or the property management response to us was different, I would have given the rental experience a 5 star rating . The home is nicely decorated and clean . Overall we enjoy our stay and Capitola. Thanks for sharing your lovely home .
