Wer sich selbst bekochen will, muss allerdings alles, auch Salz und Pfeffer, vor Ort besorgen. Von allen Zimmern, Küche und Wohnbereich ein toller Blick auf das Meer. Die Autobahn ist zwar in Sichtweite, stört aber nicht wirklich. Die Lage ist zentral, 10 min bis zum Supermarkt und 20 min. bis in die Innenstadt von Funchal. "Madeira was beautiful, the home was nice and spacious but much more dated than in the photos. It was fully stocked which was nice to cook in, and lots of space to roam around with a beautiful view. To note: Wifi is not strong throughout the top floor, a TV wasn't working, power went out numerous times and there was a stench that lingered from the bathrooms that lasted the whole stay. I did message the host about these issues at the end of our stay so they can improve this for the next guest. As...

"Selve hotellet ligger exceptionelt smukt. Det er rent. Det er pænt. Virkelig lækker udsigt, både fra værelset og fra restauranten. Personalet var virkelig søde, høflige og venlige. Det eneste negativ, det er selve restaurant maden. Vi overnattet i 8 dage, havde morgenmad inkluderet og spiste aftensmad 3 gange i den periode vi var der. Vi prøvet meget forskelligt, men det var alt sammen virkelig ringe kvalitet. Jeg er ked af at sige at hele menuen og opskrifterne trænger til at blive skiftet ud, både til morgenbordet og til aftensmaden. Æggene og pølserne var decideret vammelt. Deres kød/spyd var tørt og meget sejt. Grøntsagerne var smagsløse og olieret. Jeg kommer gerne tilbage til hotellet, primært pga udsigten, men også pga venligheden fra personalet. Men jeg håber virkelig at de ændrer maden."

"Best of recommendations. If we are returning to Madeira, we'll definitely consider this hotel again. Had an appartment with ocean view. Very well spaced and comfortable. Bought breakfast at the site's restaurant throughout the stay; the price was absolutely fair considering the selection of food, and on top of that we got to enjoy the magnificent views from the restaurant's outside seating area. Also tried the evening restaurant a couple of times, and was equally satisfied with that. For a family with children it was nice to have easy and cost free access to quite a range of activities (a.o. minigolf, table tennis, pickleball, tennis, gaming room) and of course the swimming pools. One point of notice: If you rent a car, you should be comfortable driving the very steep roads leading to and from the hotel (up to 14-15%)! But that's what eventually gives you the amazing views from this location :-)"

"Virkelig et dejligt sted. Glimrende morgenmad og de to restauranter vi prøvede til aftensmad var rigtig gode og kan varmt anbefales. Den sidste aften var vi allerede i gang med at planlægge hvornår vi kan komme tilbage. Vi havde lejet en bil. Det var bestemt en stor fordel i forhold til placeringen. Men netop placeringen var fantastisk. Se at komme afsted."
