Nice old hotel

Really a nice old hotel with a great atmosphere. The room was fine for a British context. But when compared with hotels in Europe when the room was small and dark. The breakfast was only OK - had expected fresh bread and cheese. Enjoyed our stay close to the city.

The room was OK, but there was a noise from the air conditioning in our room at 8th floor, so we had to get at new room, but it took 24 hour to arrange. The breakfast was ordinary, not great. Location of the hotel is great.

Perfect location!

Great location close to Yorks city centre and the main station. We camel for the National Rail Museum wick was also very vey close. The room was large and comfortable with a huge bathroom. Sadly no view, though. Service from the reception was very neutral, not amazing in any way.

Easy check in and out. Staff were friendly. Excellent location. Great for 4 to 6 people . Sofa bed was not the comfiest. Beware, parking nearby costs quite a lot for the day which we didn't expect. Overall, we would stay again as it's in the perfect location for a visit to York.
