"Really nice rooms with comfy beds, wildlife just outside the door. The food is varied and very well made, the gamedrives are exciting. We also went on a hot-air balloon ride. Pricy but well worth the money. All in all a perfect stay. "

"Amazing resort in Pilanesberg. Very high standard of service. Food and service first class. Safari vehicles well maintained and comfortable. Even have comfort stop during drives. Our ranger excellent (Jaktah-probably spelt incorrectly sorry) with vast knowledge of wildlife and birdlife. Saw big five. Each drive very different in terms of viewing and terrain. Rooms comfortable and spacious as were communal areas. Nice pool."

"Hotel Protea Hunter's Rest er et 4-stjernet hotel, men det værelse vi fik passede bedre til et hotel med 1-2 stjerner. Aircondition virkede ikke, og blev ikke lavet med det samme på trods af, at vi meldte dette i receptionen med det samme og endnu en gang i løbet af aftenen. Dette betød, at vi var tvunget til at sove med åbent vindue (det var tæt på 30 grader om natten) i et myggeplaget området -> min 6 mnd gamle søn havde 20+ myggestik næste morgen :-( Da der endeligt kom en aircondition-mand...
