"The check-in was uncomfortable. The lady behind the counter basically seemed like she was having a bad day. I am Danish and forgot my passport, but I had a picture of it on my phone and my American friend offered HIS identification. She did not want that. She made it seem impossible for us to check in. Like we woud have to leave - too bad!
Then she finally called her boss who obviously told her to let us check in!

"Beautiful location in the middle of the main street - PCH. The hotel is very clean with fun amenties. The main hotel is close with access to the beach, umbrellas, beach chairs and toys. "
"Very nice heated pool area . Nicely shaded grounds with canyon setting . Easy walk on the path way down to alesio beach where you can get chairs and umbrellas at lost pier cafe showing your room key . Pricey restaurants on hotel site but the food was very good . "
"The the entire staff was welcoming and helpful, especially Katie at the front desk and micheal at the bar.
We loved the retro look of the room and how well designed it was. The breakfast was amazing eggs and croissants and coffee were delicious.

"Simply AWESOME views! Great coastal theme furniture. Very friendly staff. Excellent room service! Close to all the happening places, shopping, restaurants and literally in the heart of Laguna Beach! Highly recommend Urth cafe right across the hotel for breakfast!"

"This is our second time staying here & will definitely go back. It is centrally located to everything & an easy walk to the beach. They offer towels and chairs for rental to take to the beach, too. There is a coffee shop & a Ralph’s grocery store across the street. The parking is a little tight - especially if you have an oversized truck, but we made it work. The staff were all friendly & there is a bbq area in the courtyard, too. "
