"This was a very nice comfortable place. We had a little trouble finding it. Was easy to check in and out of. The only suggestion I would make was to put the exterior patio lights on a timer so that they turn off at night— if it’s hot and you have the window open then you have all the light from the patio. But it was very clean and comfortable."

"Very pretty and had all we needed for self catering. Maybe a baking sheet, smaller saucepan and a baking dish would have been useful - not a big deal!Lovely to be next to the beck, loads of birds to watch and interesting places to visit.Drive from The Tan Inn to Hawes not for the faint hearted, narrow and very steep.Noticed a funny mark in the oven which I couldn't clean so emailed the office and someone came the next day to clean it - excellent. "Ideal for a couple's get away. Superbly renovated clean property with parking and outdoor space. Everything you need for a home from home feel. Very comfortable! Located at the edge of a quiet village with local pub less than 10 minutes walk away. Staff at the Hub were friendly and helpful, food and service excellent! Close to Brampton, small town. Well positioned property for walks or visiting Hadrian's wall, Carlisle, or even Scotland. We highly recommend this property. Owners friendly...

"The property was large and was a good base to use being about 20 minutes from a beach and about 10 minutes walk from a park with swings etc for the grandchildren. It was about 5 minutes drive from an Aldi and Lidl. "

"We booked the cottage for a long weekend, whilst attending a national cycling event near Hexham. The cottage was perfect for our group of three adults, providing us with two double bedrooms, both with ensuite facilities. The cottage was clean, warm and well equipped for our stay and the location was fantastic for walks on Hadrians Wall and only a fifteen minute drive to Hexham.
