"Many of the hotels in the area are old as this small bustling town of 12k people see 10k-20k tourists in the summer months per day.
This hotel had great location, friendly staff, great breakfast, and Cat Ba Ventures make it very convenient for me book tours around the area, as well as transportation to/from Hanoi."

"Comfortable hotel near Cat Ba town, with good views of the bay, and out of sight of the building work in town. We had a one night stay before a boat trip on Lan Ha and Halong Bays. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, effective Aircon, and comfortable bed, although slightly limited choice of nearby restaurants."

The Vietnamese tea service hosted by Alex was a great experience and very insightful. Also Mr Bing playing modern songs on traditional Vietnamese instruments whilst having dinner, was great to hear and really made the experience all the better.

Check-in: We paid a deposit so we could charge services to our room. Throughout our stay we had problems & the majority of employees didn't believe us or made us go to the hotel lobby to fix it. We had several problems with our room, no warm water & we had to wait for the service guy & be stuck in our room for 2h before it was done. It was never properly fixed...

Unfortunately communication was an issue with the company, we got one itinerary before departure, and another whilst we were on the boat. It basically meant we ended up with 2 days of the same things. We did however have good communication with management who refunded us partially and promised to make it better for future trips. The boat was in great condition and the rooms were really nice!"
