![Old Manor House site, Topcliffe Known as Manor Hills or Cock Lodge, this is the site of a medieval manor house belonging to the Percys. The view shows the outer ditch and bank in the foreground with the inner ditch [moat] and bank beyond. The conical mound was the site of a windmill. The manor is thought to have been erected in the 13th century and was described as 'ruinous' in a survey of the estate in 1577. Really a nice old hotel with a great atmosphere. The room was fine for a British context. But when compared with hotels in Europe when the room was small and dark. The breakfast was only OK - had expected fresh bread and cheese. Enjoyed our stay close to the city.

Radisson Hotel York
Jen on the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. Lovely room and stay. Only thing that let it down was breakfast. Not much choice hot food and it was cold.

Malmaison York
Great location close to Yorks city centre and the main station. We camel for the National Rail Museum wick was also very vey close. The room was large and comfortable with a huge bathroom. Sadly no view, though. Service from the reception was very neutral, not amazing in any way.
