Roadside barn at Park Head This barn is built in to the west and south bounding walls of a large field on the north side of the Arkengarthdale road. The roadside, the land south of the road, and that west of the barn are all boggy open fell with much soft rush, but the enclosed land seen in the photograph provides higher quality grazing.

Richmond

Ellerton Abbey, near to Marrick, North Yorkshire, England. A fine pad built in 1830, named after the nearby ruins of the cistercian abbey of Ellerton. Featured as the home of Mrs Pumphrey & Tricky-Woo in the TV series "All Creatures Great and Small". Long Scar Plantation is the ablong block of conifers below Ellerton Scar.
