Relaxing vacation
This property was true to pictures, very beautiful private beach, and the surrounding areas were very well maintained. Our host was exceptional, and our gorgeous rental was spotless.I would absolutely recommend this rental!!

Stunning Views, Tired House
The location and views were incredible! It was so great being right on the beach and it was easy to walk everywhere. Unfortunately the house is a little tired, the refrigerator should be replaced as the door doesn’t close well, the shower head in the primary bathroom should be replaced and the pillows/mattresses need updating. Again, the location and views are stunning and we had the best time playing on the beach and in the water all day, but for the expensive cost per night, we were disappointed that the inside of the house could use some love/reinvestment. We would love to come back and stay here again if the inside of the house got a little facelift!

Hi Leah thankyou for taking time to post a review, in response, we are receiving a new refrigerator on monday as it takes 6 weeks to get one and it was damaged by a former guest, we had it repaired so we wouldn’t have to cancel any reservations while we wait, the mattresses were all replaced recently as they are replaced on a regular basis with high quality mattresses. i will look at the pillows and the shower head as i am unaware of any issues with either. i’m very glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise and will consider us for future booking. thank you laura

Beach backyard
Beautiful home directly on the beach. Plenty of chairs and space to hang out. Great location close to restaurants and shopping. Owner was available and helpful when contacted. Everyone had an awesome time and we look forward to our next stay.

Restful
This was our first trip to Anna Marie Island. What a cool little spot. So quiet and a private beach and waters that were crystal clear.. Wildlife watching was awesome also. The house is very homey and felt very comfortable. Thanks for a peaceful few day!! We will be back.

House and location were great. I think the cleaning crew could do better. Sheets on pullout sofa were dirty and we had a few roaches in the house. There was candy in pullout also. Could use a few more washcloths and hand towels. Other than that, it was fantastic.

Fantastic location
We had a great weekend. Could not ask for a better location and house had everything we needed - even a baby gate for the stairs! The shade on the beach under the deck was perfect for our kids to play safely in the Florida sun while we enjoyed the view. Lots of great restaurants really close by. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Rental

Quiet street with plenty of room for everyone.
Beautiful beach house with tons of charm. The view of sun rise and sets is incredible. There is tons of stuff to do within walking distance. Very family friendly clean environment.

Amazing Views!
My favorite thing about this house is the incredible views of the beach. We loved sitting on the deck or private beach below watching the sunsets and then taking in the star-filled night sky with the Sunshine Skyway Bridge as a backdrop. Sunrises were incredible too! The home was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It is also in a perfect location - so close to the piers, restaurants and shops. Thanks Laura! We enjoyed your home very much and hope to be back soon!

Perfect location and beach
We loved our location of this house and it’s private beach. Worth the money. Plenty of towels and house was stocked. The house could use a little maintenance and the pillows were thin would be my only complaint. We thoroughly loved AMI.

Great views
My family, older kids, grandsons and family dog enjoyed this house. We had a great time and had all the essentials from in the kitchen, to sand toys and beach chairs. My grandson loved playing in the Shallow water although It wasn’t as clear But that’s just because it’s on the Bay side but overall it was a great stay we really enjoyed the views and rented a kayak saw Dolphins, manatees and the sunset off to the side. Sunrises we’re great too! Over all it was a great stay although the house does need to be a bit updated and their is a side entrance for beach goers which we did not know about but over all it was a great stay and we enjoyed ourselves.

Hi very glad you enjoyed your stay, there is a beach access adjacent to the home for launching a kayak or surfboard however beachgoers are not permitted to use the beach behind the property as it is private and we own to the waterline. thankyou for your input laura

Beautiful water view, but there were roaches!
You definitely can’t beat the water view, however we saw quite a few roaches during our last day/night. After seeing roaches the night before we were checking out, I did contact the owner upon check out to let her know. She was apologetic, and said the exterminator was coming in that day. This didn’t help us, as we were checking out that day. I told her that I got no sleep, and literally had to sleep with one eye open that whole night making sure nothing was crawling on me. I gave her an opportunity to make it right with us, and she didn’t offer anything to compensate us for our bad last day experience. I live in FL, and understand that you may see an occasional palmetto bug, but these were roaches, and that should never happen in a place that is regularly exterminated. After spending a lot of money per night, we feel that this was completely unacceptable and will not return.

Great location, but very outdated house
The location of this house is what sold us on renting it. It sits right on the water (bay side) of Anna Maria Island. Gorgeous view!!! However, the house itself is very out dated and is in need of some minor repairs. Rotting floor boards by sliding glass doors, master bath sink had a broken drain and the handles are sinking into the tile countertop, several bath towels were stained and had rips in them. The house was clean, however could stand to use new bedding, towels, and decor. For the price we paid, my expectations were pretty high. The property manager was very friendly and quick to respond. The experience itself was great (booking, check in process, communication with manager). This house has so much potential!! Just needs a little TLC.

Beach Getaway
The home was beautiful! Loved the location, I mean you stepped right out to the beach. The only negative thing I could say was the one bed in the room to the right of the stairs wasn't to comfortable, but other then that would definitely stay here again. We wanted a beautiful beach home and we definitely got it!

Simply Amazing
The location impeccable, the place is exactly what I vision of staying at the beach. Beautiful Sunsets, and views in general. Kids got to see Dolphins.. We loved it.

Excellent location! However, property didn't quite measure up.
We have stayed in several VRBO rentals. All have provided more of a hosted experience than this. This home was pretty bare-bones lacking the personalized touch of hospitality and felt more like a vacant hotel room. Other reviews state the need for updates and I would agree. I was most turned off by the trash in the sand from the previous guests; cigarette and cigar butts, glass, bottle tops, beads, confetti. I realize this is hard to manage with so many people coming and going. I believe if there was a clearer process of check in, maintainence, and check out expectations, there would be better overall care to the property. However, with all this said, you can not beat the location. There is incredible potential with this property. I hope the property owner can make some nice updates that clean up and update the home in order to keep up with the majority of other private rentals on the island. Nothing beats the view and private beach! If you are looking for a place to stay with a great view and location, this one is for you. If you are looking for more hospitality with your stay, you may benefit from searching elsewhere.

Great Little Beach House
Great view, nice layout! Lots of beach supplies to use in the garage! Easy Booking! The guest bedroom beds were not great but the property owners are looking into that issue. Property owner was easy to communicate with!

Great beach house
We had been to AMI other times & stayed on the canals, this time we wanted to be on the beach - this was PERFECT. Although not the newest house, it had all the basics we needed. We literally walked down the steps to the sand every morning. We ate all our meals on the porch and enjoyed the beautiful view of the water (along with our bird friends). It was a leisurely 5-7 minute walk to the Pier. We did rent a golf cart to be able to get around town easily without getting in our car - but not a requirement.

FAMILY FUN!
While I feel the photos on the site were likely taken quite a while ago, because the property in it's current state isn't quite as new and shiny as the photos make it look, none of that mattered to us once we headed out to the beach. The sand is so soft, the weather was great, and the water, while seeming slightly chilly at first touch, was really a perfect temperature, especially for it being December! My kids loved the shallow/ no waves water, and had a blast in the morning at low tide when they could walk out on the sand bars. We saw several starfish, sea snails, sand dollars, hermit crabs, etc. A bit further out we kept catching glimpses of what we are pretty sure were stingrays. We hoped for a turtle sighting or two, but didn't get one this time around. We did have a beautiful, great blue heron that came by each night to say hello that we named Edgar! We rented bikes down the street and had a great time riding to breakfast in the morning or lunch in the afternoon. One day we biked the few blocks to the Gulf side of the island to play and watch the sunset at Anna Maria beach. There are plenty of sand toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc available. There is a washer/dryer but we had to buy our own soap. Same with shampoo/conditioner, but these things were easily overlooked with such a great location and the beach/views we received. We will definitely return!

We had such an amazing weekend at this house. The house is beautiful, well stocked with dishes and linens, and having the beach in the backyard is truly amazing. We loved watching the sunrise and sunsets from the beach. We will definitely be back

Nice location, beautiful views
Nice location with great views. Rather dated but that added to the beachy charm. Pretty bare bones rental, but considering the price was lower than most surrounding homes, that’s was ok. Nice to have beach chairs to use, however a wagon for transport would be much appreciated. The roominess and view will never get old!

Best view ever!
Best view I have ever stayed in. But it does need updated a bit. Master bathroom faucet especially. Plenty of towels and everything you need with chairs to sit in on the back yard beach also. But the front door key is a dangerous situation. And a fire hazard. Needs to be changed. But I absolutely LOVE the house and the location was perfect!! 😊

Very sorry that we couldn't accommodate an early check in for you as we need time to make sure the home is cleaned properly and ready for your stay. The master bathroom faucet was replaced a few months ago as far as I know was working properly, my maintenance staff checked it yesterday and it was operating well and I am unaware of any water outages. I can assure you that the front door is not a fire hazard and meets all code requirements, in fact the home is inspected yearly which includes a complete life safety evaluation, but thankyou for your concern.
