Very nice hotel in central location
Charming hotel with central location. We had a room with canal view, and that can definitely be recommended. For Rembrandt buffs, this is the place where Night Watch from the famous paining met.

Over alt forventning.
Vi gik efter et centralt hotel og det fik vi. Hotellet kunne ikke ligge mere centralt og i gåafstand til det hele. Vi blev taget godt imod da vi ankom, fik vist værelserne frem og bagagen båret op. Meget opmærksom og venligt personale gennem hele opholdet. Dejlig morgenmadsbuffet med ALT. Vores oplevelse af hotellet var over alt forventning og det kan varmt anbefales.

Our air conditioner did not work the first night but the staff brought a fan and the air was repaired the following day. Very comfortable after that.

I loved the atmosphere. The hotel is old but well maintained. The staff were amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the air conditioning, and when it was not resolved the first day, they moved us and the rest of the stay was great!

We loved the Doelen Hotel and Staff were all terrific. The beautifully situated dining room (unf) becomes overwhelmed - all of our food was overcooked. Fix that bit and the hotel is just fabulous.

I had a delightful experience at the Tivoli. Upon arrival, a friendly doorman promptly assisted with our bags, setting a welcoming tone from the start. The designated check-in area was cozy, and the staff were both professional and personable. The entire hotel boasts lovely lighting, creating a warm ambiance from the lobby to the rooms. Although our room was on the smaller side, it was well-lit and impeccably clean. Despite the limited space, the bed was comfortable, and the sheets were crisp and fresh. The bathroom, while compact, was equipped with all the essentials. I particularly appreciated the heated towel rack and the hotel-branded towels, which added a touch of luxury. The attention to detail was evident, with amenities like lip balm and nail filler available—a lifesaver when I accidentally broke a nail. Our room offered a stunning view of the river, especially enjoyable on sunny days when the natural light flooded the room, creating a sunbathing-worthy atmosphere. Moreover, the hotel's location in the heart of the city ensured that we were within easy reach of all the activities and attractions. Additionally, the area felt safe, providing peace of mind throughout our stay. The breakfast selection was extensive and of exceptional quality, further enhancing our stay. Without hesitation, I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel is faultless as far as we are concerned and I am a very picky guest. The place is beautifully decorated and maintained and the food is absolutely excellent. What we simply could not get over was the absolutely amazing service we received from every single staff member. We travel alot and have never experienced service like it. We would not stay anywhere else in Amsterdam after this.

Excellent stay at Tivoli Doleon Amsterdam. The room was well appointed with very comfortable bed. It’s located conveniently close to trams and trains making it a great starting point for touring. The staff is very accommodating and breakfast was fantastic!

Nice location in Amsterdam
The hotel is in a good area and right next to University. Centrally located for easy walking to nearly anything you want. The room would not cool down during the night and if you open the window, there was a lot of noise all night. The room does not leave a lot of moving around space as the rooms are small but had a comfortable bed. The service in the bar was really great.

Fantastic hotel. Staff was 5 star quality. Greeted with warm towels, water and champagne during check in. Rooms are smaller, but that is typical for Europe. Still clean, comfortable and updated. Will absolutely stay here again!

Great choice
Just one-two blocks from the busiest streets yet walking distance to everywhere in AMS. Friendly staff in this moderate size (no rush in breakfast) luxury hotel. Would surely go again!

The property is beautiful and is located on the wonderful location. The staff however was interesting, few incidents happened and i don’t know what to think of them. For example, the room was not properly cleaned before hand and we were blamed of smoking in the room by the cleaning ladies because of some significantly really really old cigarette buds found from outside the window. The cleaning ladies also for some reason never emptied out the room bins and took out trash? We had the breakfast buffet, one morning there were flies in the juice served… second day, we wanted to sit at our usual seat where we sit everyday and the restaurant person asked her to move because it was for 4 people — another couple came and wanted that seat and it was given to them without question even though they were also just two people. (mind you the entire restaurant was completely empty). I wish the people made it better since the location/hotel was absolutely amazing!
