"Breakfast was excellent and room was spacious"

"We were a family of 3 plus a cockapoo staying in The Tweed. The room was perfect for us. Loved the decor and attention to detail. It was nice to sit in the sun in the morning in the little garden with a coffee and listen to the birds. We had dinner and breakfast in the pub. The food was ok but the service could have been better. We booked in advance and were seated straight away but we found nobody came over to ask if we wanted drinks and we ended up having to stand in the queue at the bar....

"The hotel was in a good area, and they are trying to make it more modern and look good, but sadly it was still not up to standard. The receptionist didn't speak English, they had forgotten the soap in our room. There was mold and paint chipping on the ceiling. We could live with all this for the night but when we tried to go to bed we found they had used a duvet cover instead of a bedsheet for the mattress. We called the emergency contact and they came with new sheets for us, but as they where...

"We stayed for 2 nights while exploring the area. The house was clean and very comfortable. I would recommend."

"The cottage is ideally located and the off street parking is a bonus. The property is well laid out and spacious with everything you could need for a relaxing break. We would not hesitate to return. Only a couple of suggestions to make the stay even better. There was a faint smell of drains in the bathroom which built up if the door was closed. The wooden frame round the bed had corners which could catch your legs when walking round it due to the close proximity of the wardrobe. More room...

"Great apartment right in the town centre. Spacious living space and everything you need for a home from home experience. As the flat is high up you get great views out towards the castle and the roof windows give great views of the stars on a clear night."
